Anyone else annoyed with cpu bunting while catching
-
I play all fielding opportunities, and about 5-7 times a game the ai bunts for a hit. They even bunt with the best hitter in the lineup. What's worse is when they do it with 2 outs and the bases loaded and my guy doesn't even try to go get it, instead he covers home like an idiot when its literally 2 feet in front of him. Its not just the bases loaded, any runner that's heading to third, he does the same thing.

Yeah - the locked in catcher thing on the bunt totally blows. If you let me move my guy, I could make the play. But I guess I need to cover home and not move 2 steps, make play, and then cover home.
My guy has pretty decent stats for Arm Strength and Arm Accuracy without my gear bonuses. So I get the bunter out at first about 50% of the time now. But every time that I don't, I can't help but think about how nice it would be if that fancy glove and the other fancy stuff I have on my guy would have made a difference. It's like a slow, painful torture.

I’m a two position player and I’m a pitcher and catcher. So every time I’m catching the ai’s just bunt and I need to get pop up but I can’t. So what should I do

I get annoyed when the CPU bunts while I'm throwing a no-hitter

The bunting is ridiculous whether playing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Yes, 2nd. You wouldn’t think you’d have to deal with bunts as a 2nd baseman. The AI bunts in the dumbest situations. Just today I had my player on 3rd with bases loaded and 2 outs. You guessed it, the batter tried to bunt his way on and made the 3rd out. I really wish there was a way to turn bunting off. It’s not very prevalent in MLB and should be much less prevalent in the game. I only play shortstop and the outfield to avoid the stupid bunting. 3rd base is my favorite position but it’s frustrating because there are only a couple defensive chances per game and 1 is guaranteed to be a bunt.

This violates one of the unwritten rules of baseball. You don't bunt to break up a no-hitter.
