Look at his stats at the end of May and then today.
He's a catcher. He doesn't have another card that competes with a 96-97 POTM. And he's short and pudgy.

Believe it or not, SDS just gave Vladdy Sr the weight the card has on the back, blame Topps lol

Kirk has a good shot if SDS decides that Yordan Alverez's 91 card is good enough.
When it comes to OFF runs above average he only ranks behind Alverez, Goldschmidt and Schwarber.
Here is the thing though, we are three weeks out from the All Star Game. If they give out All Star cards like last year then Kirk, Goldschmidt and Alvarez look like locks to be the starters for their prospective positions. Do they give it to Kirk if they plan to do juiced all-star cards again? It would likely be two 97 cards for the same player

It would be cool seeing a catcher as POTM. Kirk has had an amazing June, I like him a lot, but there could definitely be different POTM’S for June.
