No AS/HRD Program This Year?
-
The content schedule has the next program listed as a boring, generic "Sizzling Summer" program.
Does that mean no AS/HRD Program?
I guess "Sizzling Summer" could be a short, 2 week program that would end just barely before the AS game. At least that's what I hope
-
I actually hope not. Having the packs is fine but giving every team a card for their AS representative not only broke the game last year, but it causes Salvador Perez type situations with the bad teams when finest rolls around

Agreed the TA 3/all star program last year was basicly ruined the game, every team had at least a 97 overall card and in the case of Degrom it was basicly a free 99 card for doing nothing. The exchange method let you get him with no effort as well.
Stick to the HRD cards at the 93 over base and 96 for the rare round

I completely agree with the comments about what TA3 did to the game last year and I am not a fan of a repeat at all, but these last two programs have been about as boring as can be. I realize some love the Phillies and some love Future Stars, but for myself and I think many, the past six weeks have been pretty boring. I am just hoping there is something much more interesting that involves a wider range of teams with current players or legends. In my opinion 30 FS cards at all 95s is not too different to this years game as what TA3 was to ‘21. I realize they are not “free” like TA3, but they are cheap and many lineups are now filled with the same cards.

The future stars cards won't last in lineups much longer though. None of them are insanely OP. Miller is good but he isn't best pitcher all year good. Degrom was the best pitcher from the time he came out until the end(Arguably). And Trea was the best position player until finest Trea. None of the future stars have active quirks, which the TA3 cards of last year all did. All the future stars hitters balanced swing tendencies, which isn't ideal for the long haul(when people talk about "glitchy" swings every single one is Extreme pull tendency. The future stars cards are being used because there isn't much of an alternative yet. There were alternatives at every position by the time TA3 came out and people still used Degrom, Trea, Devers, Mullins, Castellanos, and others until they either got better cards themselves or were replaced with finest. The only legit gotta have them cards after TA3 were the finest, Mantle, Griffey, and some pitchers

I agree with that and I guess that is part of my point…at this point they are filling lineups “because there isn’t much of an alternative yet”. I don’t want the TA3 repeat, but I would like more of an alternative that involves current players and or legends from an assortment of teams.

I imagine we’ll have a ton of 99s in some form in July. ASG cards are likely.
