This game is a full blown simulation. Outcomes are determined before they even happen. Why give a PCI if it doesn't matter if you keep the ball in the PCI, have perfect or [censored] near perfect timing only for it to be a weak flyout/line drive right at someone? Why do late and early swings that are not even in the inner PCI hit blasts to tie the game/take the lead?

Why hit P/P pitch on the corner only for it to float down the middle of the plate so your opponent can crush it?

Ranked, BR, Events and even Mini Seasons have zero player control. Conquest is the closest to having some control over the outcome using your stick skills.

SDS is scamming every one of you (including me).

So tell me, WTF are we even doing bothering with this simulation? No one can say its fun to "git guud" only for the coding determining the outcome.

Other games like Madden (full blown simulation + exploits to break the simulation) died over the past couple years because of the issue we're seeing with The Show. Something changed between last year and this year. New management? Got a call from Sony and was told to go in to hyper drive to cause enough aggravation where people will succumb to microtrasactions.

Say what you will, but MLB The Show 22 has officially sold it's artificial soul. It's sad, because they were the last enjoyable game with almost full control of your games.

Maybe you should just stop playing the game. Don't feel the need to save our souls...they are already gone. I love The Show and have for many years. Yes, it's true that I suck at the game, but that doesn't stop me from having fun with it. Yes, if the game is that bad for you, just stop playing it. Don't worry about us...we'll figure it out sooner or later.

SDS is just like every sports game studio, their main mission is to make more profits every year. This year is a copy and paste with minor and/or useless improvements. Hitting is still the same with everyone golfing for a hit or reaching out six inches off the plate. Fielding is an animated-based mess and a highlight reel, diving plays are too easy but it's still hard to climb the wall. Pitching is almost what you said.

SDS does have a monopoly or little to no competition in MLB simulation games just EA has with Madden. The grind is far better than other sports games but it does have so many errors in gameplay.

As Jewel would say in this situation
    Who will save your souls?
When it comes to the flowers now
    Who will save your souls?
After all those lies that you told, boy
Now, who will save your souls?
If you won't save your own?

I know that. This guy is calling this game a scam. It's a yearly game what else did we would expect? A scam is more like BF 2042.

Same here- it’s also playing very well for the people I watch online play because they have records of 153-20 mostly and are ranked top in the world.

I’ve never been on a forum that’s focused on a game but I’m starting to see a trend here

People lose get upset and come one here and post/rant about how the game is broken

I’ve had my fair share. Some are gone, some aren’t. It is what it is. Same as real baseball. Just obviously doesn’t happen to me nearly enough as those who consistently post on these forums….i can’t believe how lucky I’ve gotten so far. Well that, or I’m just not a baby.

The other day I hit 5 balls extremely close to the perfect fly ball area with Delgado. 4 of those with good timing and one was just early. Zero hits and most were routine fly balls in high altitude created stadiums. 6th ab I miss the pci and hit a single. How about rewarding me for my good swings and not for the one completely missing? Game does not run good.

All this angst over a $60 video game is pathetic. Some of you guys need to get out and see what the rest of the planet has to offer. Go see what you can do about getting a life.

All the constant whining around here is super annoying

All over a video game LOL

Telling people to get a life is a little bit much....but the over-dramatic whining is comical at this point. Like you said, over a $60 video game. I could understand if someone dropped $800 on a ps5 and it wasn't working correctly....but a game?
