I don't get it, people act surprised by Future Stars yet they have been in the game for 6 years and have been featured prominently like this for the past 2 years.
Also the comments "I want to play with players that have already been in MLB" but then would trun around and complain "why do they give guy 3 cards I want new fresh cards we haven't had before" there is no pleasing this community

PSA for those planning to complete the upcoming big collection asap. If you were going to skip one of the existing collections (assuming that is possible again) you may want to rethink that. Future stars will likely be a new category which will take a decent amount of time to get to the required amount of cards.

Appreciate you posting this. I’ve been thinking about this and wanting to get a chance to post it for others. They are making these collections interesting this week. I have all the Takashi cards, and all but four cards in the game….but I might not be able to complete either collection this week.
I can’t make WS in a day to get the Maddux and then if that Takashi reward is a voucher, I won’t have it for the big one…then it will take time to complete FS, which puts me short two categories when I have virtually all cards. Not complaining…it is just interesting that these collections this week could be pretty hard even for people with most cards.

I'm in a similar boat. I'm down the the rare round Intense pack guys, JR Richard, Pujols, and Bay. I could buy a few of them, but I think I have enough for each of those categories and don't see the point in overpaying at stub sale prices. I think last year was similar. I kept up with all the cards for the most part, and I don't think I had Mariano on day 1. There may have been a new category added then as well.

Alright so look we all figured the new feature program is Future Stars now it being called Future of the Franchise to me confirms that we will also get a Legends of the Franchise later in the year much like TA 4 was.
Again I really like how the programs are being rolled out this year I think the have more focus and highlight the featured cards. I would assume we see a similar path to these cards like FoTF cards
6 random no sell packs
6 sellable choice packs
30 flash back and legends likely 85 to 86
2 classic packs
1 Halladay and Friends Choice pack - for those who missed itShould be a good program
If they're going to start re-releasing program specific cards in the very next program after their original program; the big collection isn't going to be that expensive other than what is needed for the CA and Anime cards.
I bought extra of the Legend Silvers from the last program thinking they wouldnt be around for awhile and the same with the Diamond Classics and the Halladay and Friends cards.
But if SDS is just going to start releasing them; why even bother.
It seems like this year they don't want to give people the opportunity to make stubs.

To me it seems like it is a bit more of “you need to collect a LOT, but we are going to make it easier to do so.” I kind of like that, but so far it is putting a damper in what used to be solid investments.

Depends on if they have a voucher for CA Mauer and a voucher for the Anime Babe.
If those are required and it only lets you skip one of the 16 required; then it's going to be expensive as you'll need one of those players.
