only a few stars away from the 300 and i have yet to play the showdown (probably won't after seeing the horror stories on the forums), so are there any ways that give a few stars per game? ive already completed the grandy program and the new players tourney, so i could do the missions and finish up the wood program, but i would like to hear some alternatives too

The best way to get 1st inning stars is to completely neglect your wife or girlfriend.

Daily challenges, you can do all of them in one game sometimes. The wood program would be the easiest, I got it in maybe 45 minutes

Showdown horror stories are overblown. Best perks: contact boost when losing, con boost when behind and/or 2 strikes count, con boost with runners on. Don’t swing unless you have two strikes, drain P stamina and confidence. Pick one gold SP and one gold RP, the rest mashers. One or two speed guys on bench for PR the tie and go ahead runners once on 2B (don’t waist on 1B because of double plays. Patience and working the counts is key. If you have contact boosts I suggested, swing with 2 strikes with contact swing, had lots of P/P and XBH that way. Patient and smart does it. Concentrate/don’t rush through small missions, as those extra players and perks are important and you get XP/stubs pretty easy too.

That all sounds so easy. Then if you fail at the last moment you get to start all over again, just wasted 2 hours, and have 0 stars to show for it. Great advice.

Wood and Granderson collections net 40 total stars. If you're close enough to a milestone try MtO; rewards stars periodically.

I said why. 2 hours of time wasted with 0 stars. Did you read the first 3 words and then stop? If it took 15 mins then fine.

honestly i think the same, a lot of people are overstating how hard it is. i just am not that great in clutch situations, so that's why i want to steer clear of showdown. i have heard a lot of similar team builds and i've seen plenty of people go with similar builds get it done. eventually i'll get to showdown if i find doing MTO for the franchise cards to be a bit too long for me, but i'll get there when i get there. appreciate the tip for showdown tho!

Thanks for acknowledging; I fail them too but I find it less aggravating and a lot more fun than moments. I like M2O too but time consuming; did for TB because I wanted Snell and they have a fun team. Pondering who to do next, maybe NYY since close to Torres.

Side question - do you get Game reward after every Events game or only after RS and conquest?
