I love both, Sale is probably my best arm, but Honus is better.
I'd think a million stubs would be more than enough to get Honus, especially if you quicksell some of the lower diamonds. The SS collection is a lot cheaper then it was months ago.
I'd do all the team affinity exchanges, a lot of the lower gold/diamond cards that are hardware/veteran etc are super expensive off the market, so affinity is the way to go. -
longest part would be buying the 74 bronze cards and exchanging them. unless you just buy 84s and use the diamonds in exchanges instead of quick selling. what else you gonna do with your stubs. might as well have a top 3 card in the game

Honus imo is top 3 card. In terms of selling Sale. Well, depends how you are doing with him. I personally like Sale because he can make dudes look silly.
I would see if you could do it without selling sale. Many of those golf and diamonds can be quick sold after you Locke them in for almost equal value as you bought them. Honus is no longer insanely expensive

I mean with the randomized pitching the fact that you could go 10 straight games without using him makes him not worth the stubs, doesn’t have great pitch selection, he’s great against guys that can’t hit a slider, if you play someone that can hit a slider he’s meat, there’s nothing special about him

Second this, Sale has been my most consistent starter outside of maybe Kershaw. It's hard to tell with Kershaw because alotta cpu innings.

Agree on Sale being the best. He is the only pitcher I have that I feel is an almost guaranteed win and probably about the only pitcher in the game that I absolutely don’t want to face no matter who is using him. Actually him and goose. I suck against goos age for some reason too.

Have u used him or faced him on legend yet? I thought he was terrible until I faced him on legend and scored like 2 runs all game

my first time seeing him on legend was a sale/sale matchup. I struck out 16 times and scored 0 that was rough. my opponent had a rating over 1000 and scored 3??? cant remember exactly. just remember me flailing away for 9 innings.

Appreciate it the tips! Just recently got him a few days ago. My lineup is pretty set, I just never really found a catcher that I really like. Same thing regarding 2nd base, but I use Hornsby & Reyes.

Appreciate it the tips! Just recently got him a few days ago. My lineup is pretty set, I just never really found a catcher that I really like. Same thing regarding 2nd base, but I use Hornsby & Reyes.
Honus plays 2B well too. He's above 80 in all 3 fielding categories there. For some reason SS's take a -10 penalty to play 2B out of position, and all the other positions he plays are secondaries. So he can quite literally play every position other than P/C with a gold badge, can hit, and is fast. His versatility is the primary reason he's so good.

Am i the only one thinking Honus is a bit overrated ? I'm playing him 8th in my lineup... my Jones, Thomas, Alomar, Griffey, Cobb, Mays and Cap Catcher have better numbers than Honus. I'm starting to think about replacing him by Ernie Banks. I only keep him because of his amazing defense.

Just to let you know. I had 450k stubs when I started. I have finished all affinities as of last night and started buying 5k players and selling back. I am at 260k stubs now. I also was impatient and traded some diamond players to get the 100 affinities...if you played the market you would have much much much more left. I am now 11 all-star, 4 hardware, and 22 signatures away from Honus. I think 1m stubs is waaaaay more than enough...be able to get Honus and the Babe with that!
