Just got matched in a HOF RS game against a guy I think was playing in the Australian outback. Horrible lag with like a 2 second delay after you hit the ball. Now, before all you fan boys say anything, yes I was winning 2-1 when he disconnected in the 3rd.
How am I even getting matched with someone like this? There are thousands of people playing and this is the match up the game chooses. Come on man. Connections and match making have to be better than this.
I tried to give him a friendly when the score was 0-0 in the top of 1st after I got the 1st batter out and noticed the severe lag.
I don't understand how there's not some sort of ping based matchmaking. It's infuriating and makes me want to just shut off the game when I get into a connection like that. I'm convinced the person with the horrible connection gets an advantage somehow but I don't understand the technical aspects of it. They should not be allowed to connect to someone unless that person has the same kind of pain. I bet the people with those horrible Burger King connections get tons of people quitting just because they don't want to deal with the lag.

Oh look a D_e_m_I_s_E post complaining about another users connection.
How novel.
You call it complaining. I said it was a legitimate question. Again, I won the game. It wasn't a fun experience. Isn't that the whole purpose of playing video games? You know to have fun.

Everyone who's bashing on him.. yes it's always the same old thing but he's not wrong. This game plays horrendously online and it seems as if it's getting worse each year instead of better.
It's just the same old 4-5 fan boys. I don't worry about them.

He didn’t mention “warping” pitch speeds. It’s a miracle.

How do I get matched up with people playing in the austraillian outback isn’t a serious question. If you really want the answer, the answer is you didn’t. You didn’t match up with somebody from the other side of the world or from a different hemisphere. How do you come to that conclusion when this happens all the time? Is every game against somebody where the constellations are different or just this one? SeRiOus QuEsTiOn BtW

I would say you do realize the outback thing was a joke but it flew way over your head. Haven't had too many games like that. Shouldn't happen at all is my point.

Anyone else remember before DD when you would go into basically a chat room and you could see everyone's connection and sportsmanship score? Those were the days
-
They also could set up european and Asian servers, as the game is sold globally this really ain't such a bad idea

Haven’t had too many games like that huh? It’s like you think people forget the other million posts. You can click on your name and immediately see a 3 page essay about how it took a global pandemic for you to get a grip and stop posting about this but still haven’t. Apparently it was keeping you up that night so you took stand up comedy to a new level.

Why so serious?
-
Ok so I’m curious why you guessed Australia? They had a kangaroo on their jersey?
Yep automatically means they live in Australia. No way anyone else likes kangaroos.
-
Ahh yes the weekly dig at other countries as if they don’t have just as good if not better internet. What are we crying about today

Because it is in the middle of nowhere. It was a joke with the lag. Man, you fan boys are something else. I really wonder if most of you got a high school diploma. You really believed I thought this person was from Australia. Just wow.
