Struggling with 120 hz.

Ok. so here is an update.
Turned off HDR and still had 120hz enabled. Seemed a little better but still seemed a little laggy. This DID however fix my problem with the LG C1 getting dim randomly.
Decided to go with HDR off and revert back to 60hz and was hitting way better.
Could this be just all in my head ??? maybe. But to me it seems like something isn't quite right with 120hz online for PS5. Maybe they were feeling the pressure to get it working for online so much that in fact that's what they just did. got it capable of playin and not really polished to where it is 100% ?
The game does look smoother playing online at 120hz. but it just feels off to me.

Also I shut off my console and let it cool down. Performance decrease when the system is stressed/warm is a thing even on console.

i play on a new tuf aser, My timing has felt great, my pci placement just sucks, found myself being early online on hof on inside fastballs, sinkers i think in general are just super tough to hit no matter what, they still didnt really fix high sinkers.

That was the most noticeable thing for me, much easier to decipher a pitch upon release
Hitting is still a slot machine and foul tips are a complete joke. At least the game looks smooth while playing like garbage

Since turning off crossplay I've really been enjoying online play.
Also have crossplay off, and I mean I’m puting up more runs and making more good swings online since 120 was allowed, thats enjoyable. But it’s a double edged sword; I think the more good swings I’m making is highlighting even more how random/bad hitting is
Event game earlier this morning, perfect/perfect line out to LF with Arenado on a pitch down the middle (understand that happens IRL, whatever no biggie). Later on, David Justice hits a no doubter on a swing where the ball wasn’t even touching the inner PCI

I think this is why I am so disappointed in my experience so far with it online. Offline before the patch with 120hz enabled I could read pitches and wait for them and swing with great timing even on HOF / Legend a few times.. And now with the patch, while I can still recognize pitches better. it seems when I am swinging there is such a delay and everything is late or just late.. I've been playing with everything off HDR, 120hz auto, VRR etc and the timing feel way better.

You know most people working on the game don't actually have any say of what goes into it. You could be a dev and they still would've gotten rid of online franchise.

Unfortunately, VRR and 120hz will not solve latency due to poor p2p connection quality. They need to put a ping notification before going into a h2h game. I am curious to know what percentage of games are actually played at a good ping (under 100ms)?
