Someone explain why when I have a man on 2nd and I hit a liner into the outfield, the ball lands down the line, my runner ALWAYS slides into 3rd base even after I select him and send him home before he's even half way to 3rd base? This game is rotten trash...

What about when you have a runner on 2nd. You hit a gapper. He runs back to 2nd base....

"Oh sweet a line drive to RF. Wait, why is my runner on first standing 2 feet from 1st waiting for it to drop? Well looks like another guy thrown out at second because I wasn't quick enough to tell the dude to advance on contact like he should have based on where the ball was hit."

Oh and don't get me started on getting thrown out on a tag up with a 99 speed player because he runs in mud for the first 30 feet.

This happened to me Friday night. Man on 2nd ran back to second, and the hitter decided to join him so they could hang out and talk about their day. Nothing like giving away a free out with two runners on the same bag on what should be a double.

Baserunners, even the elite ones, hesitate and don't run when a ball is missed and goes to the backstop but will constantly attempt to leg out doubles on hits that are clearly nothing but a simple single and get tagged out by a mile. Been this way since I started playing again in 2019. Just gotta get gud at manual baserunning, I guess.

Yep, and the runner in first who doesn’t go on a routine ground ball. I have no words

I've had a couple instances of runners going full sprint around the bases on deep fly balls (without me pressing anything), and then when the ball is caught, they just stand there instead of running back automatically. First time, I thought maybe I accidentally pressed "Send all" or something, second time I'm sure I didn't.

add the fact that stealing is nearly impossible, unless you take 2-3 extra steps, on a change in the dirt. And that's offline; I got picked off more often than successful BS attempts.

Why people even risk it online is beyond me.

The sheer volume of times this has happened to me in moments where I have to get X amount of extra base hits...like I hit it 410 feet into the Fenway triangle, runner from first hits second and turns into Snoop going "hold up". They havent even picked up the ball yet. I can literally feel my blood pressure rise

This is true. Stealing is harder.
AND!!! I don't know if anyone noticed, but it's a million times easier to get picked off 2nd base offline this year. You have to jam, hold, pray while hitting the back button, or you're toast.
We can almost never take a 1 step lead off first, which is reality irl baseball.
There were times, and I've checked replays, where the 3B coach is clearly waving your runner in, but they stop. Unreal.
