A card flippers dilemma
-
I recently finished the Live series collection by exclusively flipping and playing the game obviously for BR/Event rewards and such. Should I be worried about flipping cards? I did this ALL YEAR last game without any issues but I've been banned by EA with Madden for "coin buying/selling" when I was just buying cards to put in sets in massive amounts and then selling the set card for profit.
I understand the root cause of the recent mess was a guy getting unlimited stubs and buying up all the big cards like Trout and then selling them dirt cheap and the Trout market swinging like crazy due to that. I think I'm going to ride it out through the weekend without flipping until the dust settles, but I'm definitely rattled now. It also doesn't sound like SDS has any interest in engaging with people that did NOT engage with 3rd party stub sellers/buyers to resolve their ban from what I've saw.

My suggestion would be just play the game and earn the stubs organically through the programs and rewards. If you’re like me, I’m sure you ended 21 with a couple million stubs and they basically go to waste. If you get enjoyment from flipping then continue on. I just find it totally boring and tedious to flip cards and I realized it was keeping me from playing the actual game.

Have you looked at his username? Manipulating the market is probably what makes him tick

Hahaha I did not but now it makes sense!

Flipping cards is allowed. They have no reason to ban you, a lot of people said they sold cards when they were high and very few came on here and said they got banned. Which probably means there was more to it than “I sold my Trout for a lot and got banned”.
You can check every player you’ve got in a pack or sold in the market yourself so imagine what SDS can do with their data.

I flip cards but only one of each item at a time. I don't see how that could be portrayed as manipulating the market. I'm 99% sure you are joking based on my username but I know others that do feel that way lol

Honestly I think if I had access to the transaction history and pack history of some of these people I would probably be able to find what got them banned in less than 10 minutes. SDS likely has a program that flags any out of wack transactions and they go from there. Not to mention anyone buying stubs illegally likely has someone log into their account, which I'm guessing also shows up somewhere

Stubs are nowhere near as easy to come by this year as they were last year. Everybody will not have 5 million stubs like they did last year. Some people may not even get the live series collection done this year until very late.

Yeah they definitely nerfed the market into oblivion this year...the new QS values helped combat card flipping, and it's obvious they're trying to $#!tcan people into buying stubs, which from a business standpoint I understand...but trying to force it on people is just wrong, just MHO

I’m similar to you. But I only got a warning from EA because I started late and the Show came out so I was only playing Madden for a few weeks. But EA issued a warning because I made too many coins on the market and through Most Feared sets.
I have done a lot of equipment flipping so far in the show. If I get banned for playing the game I’m getting my money back, period. Banning without just cause is STEALING from me. I paid $100 to play diamond dynasty - if they take it back then fine - I’m taking my $100 back. Simple.
