120 Hz monitor is a waste of money for this game...focus on response time. Although other games 120 Hz is great. PC games anyway.

And they should be. Being early on 101mph fastballs on Legend difficulty is a trip, now I gotta go back to being late on those same fastballs online on allstar difficulty. Back to sinkers being glitchy disasters. It feels like when i first switched from a regular TV to a gaming monitor.
The guys are right, I've noticed xbox players just sit and hunt fastballs and are hardly ever late like playstaion players usually are. Not sating they are better, but it is absolutely absurd to allow one console such a huge advantage in online competive play then just sit back and not at least communicate.
I've made my post to fill out the wall of hundreds. I wanted to get it off my chest as well. Tonight was the first time I played online since all this happend and again, people are correct, the difference is immense.
And before the trolls chime in with their git gud nonsense I've played 4 games online tonight and won all of them. You can be good at the game and still want it to be better. Except in this case we aren't asking for better, we are technically asking for equal.

I think that of this is fixable on Ps5 it will be , at least I hope so . There’s no reason to allow 120 on Xbox and not on Ps5 if both are capable.
Well.what about the PS4 players?
There would be no reason for them to drop any money in onlineplay if they are at a huge disadvantage...How long would you expect game producers to keep making games for a 10 year old console? Ps5 has been out for a year. Millions have spent alot of money on the new technology, it's just time man.
I wouldn't be shocked if thats why the ps5 hasn't gotten the online upgrade tho.
Question is: are there more ps4 or ps5 users out there?
1200ish canadian bucks is no pocketchangeI don't know what to tell you bud. If playstion doesn't stop crippling it's games by catering to once again, A DECADE OLD CONSOLE, then they are going to start seeing more and more people make the switch. Microsoft already bought Activision and Bethesda, what has Sony done?Microsoft has gamepass, what's Sony have? The same tired [censored] ps+ games that no one wants to play because, get this... they are ps4 games.
If I could give back a year I would buy a series x without any hesitation.

Nah, I’m spitting on Clase and his 100 mph cutter with ease now. 4K vs 1080 is debatable, Hz is not. And for most people upgrading Hz lowers response time and input lag.

That's what I am saying. Response time and input lag is what matters.

Oh I see what you are saying. Well if those two things improve then fine.

But upgrading Hz doesn't necessarily improve input lag or response time. Only the very best monitors will do all 3. Hz being the least important of the 3.

He stated that both next gen consoles were capped at 60fps (not hz). X plays at 120hz/60fps while PS5 is currently at 60hz/60fps in online matches.

A higher refresh rate can substantially reduce input lag. Playing at 120hz vs 60hz may cut your input lag in half. Of course there are other factors involved, but hz does matter to input lag. Monitor response time, however, is not as relevant as it used to be due to the current tech in today's displays all having low enough display response times (-10ms).

I would still disagree. It’s the biggest difference I’ve ever noticed in gaming, much more so than when I bought a monitor years ago. It’s very quickly made me not care at all about online in this game anymore because it’s just another reminder of the decade old tech and specs they still can’t get right. Baseball is fun, 60hz isn’t, it’s dog water, PHONES have better frame rates.
I play fortnite all the time with my buddies, it’s a lot easier to notice 120hz vs 60hz when it’s a combination of 20-30 button inputs compared to one swing of an at bat, but I’d double my input lag and response time to double my hz every day of the week.
And budget monitors still lower all three. My MSI monitor is 300$ with about 5ms in everything, it just doesn’t have 4K which is the true spec that doesn’t mean as much and just looks better. It also takes the price up about 600$

Try batting practice on ps5 against chapman on legend… 60 hz then boost it up to 120 hz… you will see there is in fact a difference
