Do injured players ever lose overall ratings?

I just pulled Tatis from a mini-season championship pack. It’s a great card, but I already have one.

Gatekeeper cards tend to rise in price while LS diamonds below 90 tend to drop over time. I’d like to see how the market shakes out on Friday ‘s update. For the life of me I don’t recall any players losing overall due to injury, but will SDS nerf Tatis’ gatekeeper status with him being out till after the All-Star break?

When a live series player is hurt and on the IL, SDS will freeze his rating. Tatis and DeGrom won't move below 90 unless they come off the IL and proceed to Amberturd.
