Pitchers defense
-
Anyone else having ridiculous defense by opposing pitchers? This is happening to me in online and offline modes. Every pitcher is essentially Dominik Hasek or Tuukka Rask when it comes to getting a ball past them. Behind the back stuff, one handed, Eyes closed, bare handed, standing on their heads.
-
Been this way for years. Pitchers in the show are all 99 rated goalies.
-
Yeah this has always been like this. Pitcher wall is insane.
-
I dunno. I hit a ball back to the pitcher in a AAA game in RTTS last night and it hit him in the head. I thought I killed him... I mean dude was not moving at all.
-
Yep, but then again, are you saying you don’t see a pitcher field a ball behind his back on the mound every single game like in the show?

I feel like it's a little worse this year though. More "behind the back look what I found" plays.

Yes. Love the Hasek name drop. What I find more annoying is when my pitcher gets hit with a weak grounder than proceeds to the ball like he’s aged 50 years and forgot what sport he is playing. This doesn’t happen often but I find myself yelling at the player, like come on man.

Hard to decide which is worse. The pitchers defense or the catchers popping out of their crouch and fielding the ball on one hop in front of the plate before the batter leaves the box. At Least this year I have successfully pegged several pitchers with line drive. Of course the ball is fielded and Im still thrown out. And of course the pitcher is not hurt but it does give me some satisfaction.

I had the same thing happen maybe day 2 the game was out. Laid there unconscious. Next batter came to the plate, pitcher was perfectly fine.

LOL yeah, right? How do you get hit in the head with a ball moving 106 and not have a concussion, at least. My guilty pleasure is imagining busting a bat and having the shards skewer the pitcher in the chest. But I guess blood and gore kills the "E for everyone" rating...

It has been like this for a while, but it does seem worse. I think they did a little better addressing the "pitcher wall," what, two years ago? It came back last year. Also, the balls that hit the pitcher are getting out of hand. So many times.

Gotta use the best goalie in history to further my point!
