Edit velocities are horrendous

The hitting engine is absolutely terrible. It’s an embarrassment and the development team should be ashamed. I can’t stand getting good pci placement and timing and it feel like I hit the ball with a pool noodle. Pitching is just as bad cause anything on the edges or off the plate, I’ll get a couple of players that mash those.

And then everything is foul tipped until eventually you're forced to throw down the middle of the plate where it's crushed for a dinger

I just tried to play the AL showdown. Literally, failed just about every mission. SDS, FIX HITTING. Fix it, before folks start leaving.

I’ll say this, I like the physics of hitting. Like it’s not a homerun every time and there’s tops in in this game finally. But I do agree you can have the best good/good swing in the world only for it to be a fly out which doesn’t make sense to me.

I still don't know what everyone is talking about. As a mediocre player who only plays offline and rarely if ever plays above veteran my 4 conquest games I played tonight to finish out the central conquest

It's the reason I buy playstation instead if xbox (not that it matters now), it's the reason I have a ps5, it's the reason I have a $600 monitor, its why I paid to have fiber installed at my house, I spent $500 opening weekend. I wish so much to enjoy this game. I'm just not.
Also I've never hit anything above 111 exit velocity.

I understand what you are saying. While I tend to have a lot of success still online, it doesn’t play like it should which is frustrating and deflating.
Add in all the bugs offline ( still begging someone to explain the mini season work around to stop getting losses when I win), and it’s a bit of a mess.

Have you played the game? If so, do you feel this game is good? Because I didn't take that many Ls and bashed almost every aspect of this game. It's horrendous.

As others have said, please don’t take the criticisms of the games as I’m losing. I win about 90% of my games. They are just 1-0, 2-1, or extra innings, especially in Conquest.
They are simply not enjoyable to play. It is definitely a grind.

Hitting is bad this year so far. You know they have the sliders turned down when you hit a ball hard enough for the commentary to be triggered to make comments like it’s a homerun, only to have the ball die before the warning track. I’m close to going back to playing other games (Elden Ring etc). I’m just playing CPU games and even that hitting is poor. It’s not fun to play a rookie game and struggle to hit homers. They get in their minds that the stats should mimic real baseball. That’s just not fun in a video game. I’d rather have a arcade feel in cpu games. This is especially true considering how unrewarding the game appears to be this year. I’ve almost completed all collections already, but I wish I could go back in time and save my money. I have a feeling they won’t be fixing hitting anytime soon. After all these years they still haven’t even fixed the cruddy baserunning IQ of the runners around second base either. They also need to tone down the cpu defense, especially in the outfield. I’ve never had so many runners thrown out trying to score from second or go first to third in all the years I’ve played. Same goes for basestealing against average catchers.
