Heads Up! Ballplayer Conflict

"You are about to load a ballplayer into a RTTS save that has a different position.
To continue using this save file, please create a new ballplayer or change to one that matches."
I have a pitcher and a shortstop on two different save files. I keep getting this message when I try and load up the shortstop player. Pitcher works fine. WTH do I do?!
-
There are ballplayers and career files. Theoretically, you can load any ballplayer in any career file, as long as they are position compatible. For example, you can start a position player career with a shortstop, then later continue that career with a catcher.
To change the current ballplayer, from the main menu, go top-left into your profile. Then click Manage and select the ballplayer you want.
Back at the main menu, do not click on RTTS, use the button to load a career file.My guess is that you were trying to load the shortstop career with your pitcher ballplayer. So, first select the shortstop, then load the career file.
On a side note: what kind of pitcher did you create and how far have you played with him? In a separate thread, I described an issue I encountered with my starting pitcher, whose career file gets switched to position player after 3 games in the majors.
-
The same thing is happening to me. After pitched in three games I got switched to a DH player and I’m not able to play as a pitcher any more.
-
Same thing happened to me except that I was a pitcher for way more than 3 games. Then randomly I was a DH for a game and now my I get the conflict message no matter what I do.

I created the Ballplayer but their is no file to load on the main menu
It's not on the main menu.
go on RTTS and instead of pressing X press Square.
Load File
It should be there. All save files are there. Your "my ballplayers" are saved under a different file, but your archetype and loadouts should say something like:Joe Smith, Mets First Base, December 31, 2022
RTTS
5/5/2022Since I'm a narcissistic richard, I like to use my name and my team for everything so I add what it is after, like "Joe Smith V" I immediately know it's for velocity. Easier to match without having to remember too much. If you don't give a lovemaking with your significant other, it doesn't matter.

If it's not on the load screen, the only other thing I can think of is you accidentally deleted it. You ARE the sharpest bulb in the box after all. lol

I opened a ticked not that that will do me any good but, they only file available to load is the fist ballplayer I made (second baseman). I created 5 pitchers they are all in the manage player and I can Activate any of them but when I use the square at RTTS on the main screen there is only one file the second baseman.

But that is by design: you can put any active ballplayer in a career file.
If you want to start a new career with an existing ballplayer, you can. You select the option from the main menu, and when it asks to choose a ballplayer, you make sure you select the ballplayer you want from your list. You get the cutscenes, select a team on your call with the agent, and there you are: a new career with the chosen ballplayer. This career file will keep the position of the player you started it with: if you had a catcher active when you start the career, the career will be for a catcher. If later you open this file while using any hitter (including 2-way player), they will have to catch. To recap: you can use any created ballplayer with any career file, as long as the player is position compatible.

All you have to do is go to your profile on the main menu(top left next to psn or gamer tag) Under load out select manage, create or change ball player and then select the ball player you want to use for your RTTS save. Go back and load the RTTS save you’re trying to play and you’re set.

I just want to point out I have had a 2 way player bug out twice now into a single position player. No I never picked not being 2 way either in RTTS. It's stupid. they have bugs from last year in the game, and even new ones. Went in with no expectations this year and still disappointed. If they can expand the game to new platforms they should have all these bugs dealt with in the prep.

Just had this happen to me. Playing as my pitcher, had already made three starts this session, simmed to my next start and got this error message.
