No DH in DD

Did SDS ever give their justification for no DH in DD? I'm sure its because ohtani is the cover star and if there's a dh he's just another player but I wasn't sure if they ever provided their official excuse? If someone could enlighten me I'd appreciate it

They said in stream they are aware of the change but have no plans to add it to DD in 22
Basicly this was a way of saying the changes happen to late and we can't change in game but we will do it next year as part of development

because they designed and started building the game 4 months before the season ended, which is almost 7 months before they announced the verbal agreement.

They still have AL pitchers bat in AL vs. AL games in DD. That never made sense.

I never heard an "official statement" of why not, however, with their cover boy being Ohtani, it makes sense why they would not implement the DH this year. One of the major benefits of having Ohtani in your rotation is for his hitting ability, and every team having a DH would basically nerf this unique aspect of having him in your rotation and lineup.

I don’t want a DH in DD. I may be in the minority, but having just a little bit of strategy left in the fantasy mode is a good thing.
Is it a mirror of the MLB rules anymore? No. Is starting a a player who retired decades ago a mirror of MLB reality? No. Are no injuries in a fantasy mode a mirror of MLB reality? No.
Until you are willing to have that pitcher you spent tens of thousands of stubs sit out for 4-5 regular season games with a digital groin strain there should be no DH in DD.
