Andrew Miller retired today. Does this mean he will not be in the game at all? We know Posey retired after the season ended so I imagine he won't be in it, but how does it work if they retire this close to the season or after the season starts.

I've read several people saying it'll be a few years before a recent retiree returns to the game (if they do).

Pujols has yet to announce his retirement. I'm starting to wonder if he'll get a one year deal or hang it up for lack of suiters? Would he be done as well?

Any insight would be great. I read @SaveFarris_PSN article about this but wasn't sure if it addressed those that retired after the game was made or during the season. Thanks.

He'll be in the FA pool, just like Nick Markakis & Kelvin Herrera (who retired 3/12/21 and 2/26/21 respectively)

Gotcha, but we most likely won't be seeing a 98 Signature or whatever high diamond he'd get this year?

On the contrary, I'd expect one. (After all, we both got "high" diamonds for the players I mentioned earlier.

I'm assuming you mean with the 'roster update' they'll probably drop when the game releases.

I would assume rosters were already locked in awhile ago.

Oh sorry, it would have helped to read the dates you posted properly haha. So they retired just prior to last season and we got a diamond version of each one along with the FAs. I thought you meant they just retired a few weeks ago.

Thanks, I had my brain turned off.

We will most likely get a player program for him at some point. But after this year he will be gone at least for a few years.

Ok awesome, so most likely we'll get Albert Pujols as well? His boss card turned out to be one of my favorites and I'm not ready to mourn his retirement in real life or the game even though he's far overdue.

If he is indeed retiring then most likely yes, sane for Wainwright and Molina.

Yeah, I'm assuming Pujols will get picked up by someone last minute or once the season starts and an injury occurs. I'd love to see him go to Colorado and his 21 there. 700 is such an amazing number.

Well you were right, Pujols to the Cardinals. Best way for him to finish his carrer if you ask me. Glad both sides could come to an agreement.

Agreed completely. I know some fans will complain because he's not so productive but he can still hit lefties and come on, you've got Molina, Pujols and Waino back together? What a wealth of knowledge.

His first game at Busch 🏟 is going to be amazing,.
