Usually happens to me when this RNG/Sim festival of a game rewards someone for doing something completely wrong.

You can tell when the game itself is taking over and favoring one opponent over the other….the pausing is to let you know your opponent is aware of what’s happening.

    That’s my experience.

"You can tell when the game itself is taking over and favoring one opponent over the other….the pausing is to let you know your opponent is aware of what’s happening."

Can we get a Ray Liotta laughing gif please?

Or how about you just prove what I said is wrong? Since you feel that way. I’ll wait. You guys who feel that way always have something to say, besides anything that proves it wrong. Why is that?

Not to go political here and nothing personally against you, but this just totally strikes me as the same kind of logic that Trump would espouse. “I have no tangible evidence of a thing other than my feelings so I’ll state my opinion as fact and if you disagree then you need to drum up an entire catalog of evidence to prove me wrong and I’ll still likely dismiss your position because I’m right and you’re wrong”.

Play the game a decent amount and there’s the evidence your looking for.

Also, why is the topic of shady gameplay (which has been backed up with video clips) brought up year after year? Is that just a coincidence?

If you’ve been around this site or Reddit long enough, I’m sure you’ve seen the video clips of pure bs happening during the game. Care to explain why it happens?

Does that not drain the pause timer quicker? I feel like that's how guys run the timer down faster in order to try and "trick" their opponent into a friendly quit at zero on the pause timer.

And when it's before the first pitch of the game?

What’s the stadium? Who’s the pitcher? Is your team vastly superior to his? There’s probably something he doesn’t like and probably trying to let you know.

BR game. He was home. Shippett

He’s taunting you? He’s warming up his fingers? It’s his pre game ritual? His controller is malfunctioning? He’s arguing with his gf and doesn’t realize he’s pushing the button? He doesn’t like you? He doesn’t like your uniforms? He’s trying to send you a message via Morse Code?

I can't prove what you said is wrong, because it's so crazy. You think his opponent is pausing the game and using it like morse code to communicate the game is taking over.

    Like I said....crazy.

Do you think the game is taking over and favoring an opponent almost like its become self aware? Are you saying you start making errors while your opponent does everything perfectly? I've never seen that happen So one sided. I've certainly been outplayed and there is the occasional moment that swings their way, but usually it seems to swing right back the next inning.

What's more, if your opponent knows its happening, why would they alert you? Why not just enjoy that Terminator has awoken at Shippet and is systematically destroying your chance of winning?

Personally, I think they either aren't ready to play, grabbing a snack, a drink, forgot to change their settings, whatever....or they are hoping to annoy you into submission.

What causes the game to swing back and forth in terms of gameplay….just curious since you mentioned it.

I'm just saying, sometimes I'll have an error, or my diamond outfielder throws offline, my 3B biffs a grounder or whatever but usually later in the game, something similar happens to my opponent. Not always, but I'd say overall I get as many breaks as the next guy. I'm assuming what causes it is the RNG you're referring to (though I am a novice and don't quite get how RNG works in a video game).

I'm not saying the system doesn't screw you sometimes but I just don't believe it's some AI taking over and favoring one player. And if it really is, why would my opponent want me to know about it. Or are you saying by pausing repeatedly they are influenting that outcome.

Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about computers and video games. I understand the concept of a random number generator but I really don't know the process of that in a video game. Is it just a chance outcome that's supposed to even itself out or what?

Basically the hitting is like going to a casino and hoping the numbers fall in your favor, and not for your opponent.

They really should consider making the PCI represent the bat and where at on the PCI you hit the ball determines your hit.

Until then, just swing away and hope for the best.
