Better progression and weaker regression is what it really needs

Real Budget Management and Luxury Tax Management. Should be based on AVV (Luxury TAX), just as in real life. No weekly cash flow; too complicated!! Also, expansion!! Please look at NBA2K. Copy that, at least.

Online Franchise, playable against the CPU also.

At least #2 below got addressed in Show ‘21. It was actually very detailed and helpful.

#1 During the off-season, as CPU teams put players on assignment waivers before the 40-man roster deadline...users gotta be able to submit waiver claims using the Pending Transactions menu, which heretofore is inaccessible.
#2 In-games, when you go to your bullpen and examine available pitchers, the player cards need to either include the Stats tab so you can examine detailed matchup metrics...or at the very least the top-portion of the player card should include Games, Innings Pitched, and WHIP in addition to the Wins, Losses, Saves, ERA, Strikeouts already listed.

I totally agree that progression and regression needs tweaked, especially regression in my opinion. I'd like to see regression happen at the end of the season like in Madden Franchise. Older players regress so much during the season and by the middle of the season they are a shell of their former self. In a franchise I did in MLB 18-20 I played 15 seasons and I remember Mike Trout at age 32 being a low 70's overall player. That shouldn't happen. At age 32 Mike Trout will still be one of the best players in baseball.

Being able to continue your franchise year to year HAS to be back this year. This is maybe the most important thing to me personally.

What do you mean? You can only okay franchise mode for one year?
Or did they use to have the option to continue with the same franchise when the new game released?
-
Honestly, how about we start simple, with something like fixing the stated reason why teams "aren't interested" in trading for guys you just signed -- they're ineligible to be traded.

Both Road To The Show and Franchise used to allow you to carry over your saves from the previous version of the game. They removed it this year.
Big mistake in my opinion. Some RTTS and franchise players in the middle of their progression may choose to just not buy next year and keep playing the current version so that they can continue instead of starting over.

Having just watched the Feature premiere on their YouTube channel...I have to applaud SDS. They have done a lot of work to franchise logic, contract structures, roster mechanics, and player progression. So many of these were addressed thoughtfully and they deserve a lot of credit for doing so. Thank you, SDS! Can't wait to play this year's game.

That's what I plan to do in franchise if the pitching isn't fixed. To me that's honestly the heart of the game. If the pitching (PvP, PvCPU and CPU vs CPU) doesn't change for the better why buy the "new" game?

The regression fix is longer over due, but also how about allowing us to make our own custom draft classes.

Guys, we'll be lucky to have any one of these things in the next 5 years. Perhaps by then they'll be finished with all their "under the hood" value tweaking and perhaps add a FEATURE to the mode.
Until then, I guess I'll just keep trading 3 D-potential 27 year olds for huge prospects or mid-80's starters.
Despicable.
