Oh yeah, you're probably right, Salvy will be a diamond. Do you think Ketel Marte, Joey Votto or Cedric Mullins will start as diamonds since they ended that way or do they kind of reset a bit since Votto and Marte had a rebound year and Mullins a Breakout.
Also, the Tigers may not start with a diamond. I think they'll have a sneaky good team and may after a few roster updates but to start I don't see anyone as a diamond.

I think of those 3 Marte probably has the best chance to start diamond. Since he was a diamond at points in 19, 20, and 21. Mullins definitely will start gold. Votto is the wild card though they could go either way with him.
As my tigers go, Baez will be the only gold to start off with. Candelario's live series will get the shaft yet again. By season's end they will have at least 5-6 golds and perhaps a diamond(Baez being the most realistic chance followed by Mize and Skubal with massive breakout seasons)

Ownership is the worst in major league sports.
Ahhhh, gotcha. Yeah, I feel your pain. I live in SD. Despite my true love for the Cardinals, it would sure be nice to see the Padres win once, but their ownership consistently blows it. Their player development is awful, their medical staff might be injuring them on purpose given how fragile their pitching staff is and they can never make the right trade at the deadline. Their big answer to Freddie Freeman so far has been Luke Voit.
