They literally just put out the same game every single year, and I keep buying it because I love baseball and want updated rosters. But there needs to be some competition to force Sony to make a better game. You can play mlb the show 14 and there really isn't a big difference all the way up to 22. Some of the game modes are pretty cool, but gameplay wise they just collect your $60 and re release the same game every year.

Welcome to the world of yearly sports games. At least we don't have to keep paying extra throughout each year to enjoy it or be competitive like most the others. A one time fee a year even if it was the exact same game would be fine with me. As long as they refresh rewards and players

I agree that it could be worse. But it could also be better. The goal should be to make the best game possible. They're always going to get the die hard baseball fan's money, but they could convince the casual fan to buy if the product is top notch. Probably won't ever happen, but a man can dream.

The last few years they've made some nice additions like perfect hits, pinpoint Pitching and Showdown but since Ultimate Team modes began being a thing franchise and offline modes have all become bare bones. I used to buy these games to play Franchise and RTTS but have had to switch over to DD last couple years because of the lack of any additions to Franchise.

Playing 15 then playing 21 is a noticeable difference.

And all they have to do is watch the games on TV and mimic the real game to upgrade. They do own the exclusive gaming rights of MLB. It just doesn't make sense that you can't have multiple motion capture sessions of new and exciting defensive plays in the diamond, outfield, behind the plate ready for the following season release. There are so many routines to copy from 50 years of baseball let alone the past 10 years to better the game. Think of it, when the catcher gets a pop up in the the show they either go back to home plate or go back to the dugout. The catcher never picks up the face mask when going back to the plate or the dugout. They leave the mask in the spot they dropped it. Make a cut scene where the catcher at least bend over before the next batter or from high view show the catcher walk back to the dugout with a mask in hand. Simple things. Simple things.
