I know this is a long shot but are tech test users going to be able to keep the teams they build? Because this how the market should be. People should be able to sell or buy at the price they want. 100k mike trout if someone wants to sell it for 5k that’s cool! Makes it fun!

You lose everything. New cards next year, new ratings, we all start from scratch.

Not sure if the other guy actually answered your question. But no, anything you obtain playing the Tech Test will not be in your collection when the game releases.
This is more of a 'test the servers and find bugs for us' scenario.
You may get a free pack, which may have a Gold LS player in it, for playing the Tech Test.
At least that's how they did it before. But before this year, only a few people were selected to play it.

I just think that the show needs to improve the market, like tell me why mike trout’s card was worth $300 IRL dollars for six months of the game until he got hurt. I’d understand maybe having to spend $100 the most to buy stubs but it shouldn’t be pay to win it should just be simplified a little bit better in my opinion

hes the highest rated LS player in the game.add to that he doesnt have any high rated players on the team with him, on the teams that have other high diamonds or a lot of diamonds the cost splits between them. all of this is for the LS collection.

Because he was the gateway to Rickey, Ortiz, Chipper, etc.

Yeah, his value had nothing to do with his real life injury or performance this year. As was stated, he is the ultimate prize as he was the highest rated LS card and the gateway to finishing the collection as @SaveFarris_PSN stated. Getting Trout basically opened the door for Ricky Henderson, David Ortiz and Chipper Jones. There were other, less expensive gateway pieces in every division: Acuna, degrom, Cole, Arenado, Tatis....bellinger was over 100k at one point. Lastly, Trout was the rarest LS in the game so there were hardly any in circulation.
Unlike Bellinger, Trout's long history of dominance kept his rating at 96 despite his injury whereas others like Yelich and Bellinger tanked because they were so bad. Once they started giving the 90+ LS choice pack reward at the end of each inning and more people finished the collection, his price collapsed.
Play the market, learn to flip cards and focus on the supply and demand aspect (where do the cards come from, are there a surplus in circulation etc.) And you will get your answers on why certain cards are insanely expensive while better performing cards are dirt cheap. This was my first year and I came in with no interest in playing the market until a few people on here showed me how. Now I'm a stubbin-aholic.

So let me see if I understand what your saying correctly. You want to be able to keep your players your got for FREE in the tech test when the actual game comes out? I don't know about you but if it was my first time ever playing and I ran into say a 99 Babe Ruth on day 1 I would be pretty annoyed.
If however I read this wrong then I apologize.

Wasn't Soriano the other guy?

Yeah. But he meant that Trout eventually unlocked Rickey, who was the AL West reward, and that in turn was part of what you needed to get Ortiz.
Soriano was the NL guy.
