    However I feel like SDS has been somewhat lacking in the quality of the player faces over the last few years especially for non-star players

    Animations and graphics have been at a virtual standstill for years. TBH, I'm seeing animations that are very similar to MLB The Show that I played on my PSP. How long ago was that...lol}

    The Show is reminding me of GameFreak more and more. Feeding on our nostalgia/fandom

    Yeah it definitely needs an overhaul but at least it's not an absolute dumpster fire compared to other sports games

    I feel like a big reason why the show doesn’t decide on making the big leap in graphical improvements is because their a game that gets high rave and reviews every year. The lowest score I believe they got for one of their games was like a 7 which is still pretty good. If the show was getting worse and worse and the PS4 wasn’t needed anymore then you will see some major changes. To me I don’t feel they need to make major changes

    I am sure a lot of people saw KevinGohD's video yesterday or a couple days ago. Playing MLB 12 The Show. That was 2 consoles and almost 10 years ago yet the graphics look very similar to today. TBH though there isnt much improvements that can be made. They were way ahead of their time back then. I never even played the show until 15, but all I remember is people telling me how great it looks and how its the best Baseball game ever. I was still modding MVP baseball on PC lol.

    1. How much do you play?
    2. How many other games do you enjoy playing?

    It's less about the graphics and more about player animations and gameplay for me

    • Stealing and throwing people out are a constant coin flip for me
    • Bunting is another crapshoot
    • Predetermined player animations and game mechanics where you automatically know what's about to happen on a particular play.
    • Every player making the same plays and movements on the field.
    • Attributes that don't make sense/dont matter
    • The swing timing and feedback not making sense

    These are all separate from how nice the game looks in a screenshot.

    Agreed. Graphics are plenty good enough. Hell the game is gonna be on Switch this year. You know the graphics cannot compete there. Yet people will still enjoy it.

    I mean I literally could not play for a month after release in 21. I deleted the game because I could not play the game I paid for. Say what you will about EA and 2k, at least I can actually play those games if I decide to lower my standards with regards to gameplay.

    You're not the only one, I too have actively complaining about the graphics and animations for the past 4 years on here. Literally MLB The Show 21 has the same exact stiff looking jerseys with wrinkles in the same spots since the PS3 Era. So that's well over a decade.

    Sadly, to reflect on that only shines the spoghtlight that... while SDS does make a solid baseball game, their workload has only grown more intense, without additional time between releases. HIGHLIGHTING the issue that we may not see any meaningful improvements in graphics, or smoother more accurate animations.
