I understood why The Show 21 released in mid April, most of their development took place during the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. But I'm a little annoyed that this years game doesn't launch until April 5. Opening Day is scheduled for March 31 (if the season starts on time). Wouldn't you want the game to come out before Opening Day instead of a week later? I'm really hoping that this release date is also due to covid, and that we can get back to the mid to late March release date. Obviously in the grand scheme of the life of the game, it's not the biggest deal, but I loved being able to play The Show at the height of my excitement for Opening Day, as spring training was winding down.

Maybe it has something to do with it coming out on the Switch this year.

If there is an early release, it will probably be either the Opening Day or the day after. In two days they do the stream for the Collector's Edition, where we will probably find out about that.

Having a CBA by March 31st is being overly optimistic, I'm expecting a May start up for real MLB.

I'll take 4/4. My baby is due on 3/17 so thats almost a whole month off where I will have time to play with no work obligations.
