While I agree with you that Freeze off should be their #1 priority going into 22, you can't really say they haven't addressed them. The intentional freezes were gone quite some time ago
They've never said why they happen or why they cant fix the ones caused internally by just playing the game. They've been silent about them.
A company isn't going to come out and say "we don't spend enough money on servers and still rely on P2P connections in 2022".
You can defend sds all you want, i said what i said, its pathetic that the game doesnt work in january, cyberpunk had its issues last year and they fully adressed them and admitted they messed up. When sds messes up, they slap a 99 on a card and make it free and everybody goes wild. Accountability goes long way.

When have they ever dived into "why" for any subject?
when the servers were crappy at the start of the year they came out and adressed and we all got packs, idc about packs I just want them to say we messed up, we are working on fixing freezes for 22. We cant figure out the reason they are happening and we are continuing to resolve the issue. Something like that.
Did they really address it though? They did give packs yes, but they didn't really address the "why" on servers being terrible early.
A company also isn't going to admit they can't figure out how to fix something. They will only address it once they know how or have already fixed it
Freeze offs are ridiculous and it's mind boggling that they can't fix it and it should be mentioned over and over again how it's still going on, so I'm not defending SDS in the slightest.

Whats even more odd is they fixed this issue in a prior game.

I'd rather see action then hear words, Them coming out and saying that now would ring a little hollow considering how long it's been no?

This is not a complain post, this is not a crying/whining post, this is a disappointed post.
played three games last night, got one quit in 2 innings, and the next two both freeze offs. I was losing 3-1 in game 2 and i took the high road and left, but next game was instantly, I deleted the game, its just so tiring this year with the freezes. Out of everything in the game i just want that fixed, i could care less about winning or losing or off pci home runs, that doesnt annoy me, its the game randomly freezing. I've suppported this game the entire year but goodness man i've never had a problem with freezes until about september.
you are absolutely right they have been a complete joke for awhile now
-
They did address them but by addressing the early issues they created new ways to get into freeze offs. And intentional freeze offs became easier where you could hit a grounder or bunt to second base and initiate a freeze off. While it wasn’t a definite to happen if someone did it enough you could guarantee a freeze off at some point in the game.

I don't think you can compare this to Cyberpunk.
In fact one of the worst parts of the Cyberpunk drama is that they failed to deliver what they promised both on release and post release. I have lost count of how many roadmaps the have published but they have failed to meet their expected dates more often than not. We are more than a year into Cyberpunk and have yet to see any DLC and even the Next Gen versions are still not out yet, even though their roadmaps have said we should have both by now.
SDS also does not have the time that CDPR has to try and fix their game. They are obligated to put out a new version with some new features every 12 months. Less time than it has taken CDPR to try and resolve their issues.
Does this make the fact that there are freeze offs still happening any better? No. But, I just don't think the comparison is a good one.

Not to mention cyberpunk was in the works for like 10 years and still came out as it did. Almost every online game has its issues, some just more than others. Freeze offs need to be the #1 priority for 22, and this game is far from perfect, but Cyberpunk was a colossal disaster and we might not see anything like that release again

Ok, here is a question. If SDS said that they could definitely fix it so freeze offs didn't happen, or that if they did happen the game wouldn't count, but it would take 2 years to completely fix it (meaning they wouldn't be able to release the game for that long) would you go a year without this game?

its a very fair question mate
i would buy the game because i am not a die hard
the price vs. enjoyment factor here
they do a lot of things RIGHT but my god the things they do wrong could be clarified so easily with good customer service

I only play offline so I would probably say no. Even though DD is the biggest mode they don't want to ignore sales or risk alienating Offline, RTTS, and Franchise players.
Plus it is a moot point as I doubt that Sony would let them get away with taking a year off.

i could definitley trade off a year or 2 of the game. Just give us an mlb game that is yearly updating, each year its a carbon copy anyways. Rather have a game without issues then a game with game breaking issues.
