I loved that 89 Gary Sanchez a lot. For some reason, I never really gave the 97 a chance. Probably because by then we had Adley, Yasmani, Piazza, Salvy HRD, Realmuto etc.

Thata probably why i forgot about it as well. Adley has been my catcher since his futures card came out.

Hahahaha, you're totally right. And I'm definitely not mad at SDS, just mad at myself for starting late haha. But you are right, I wouldn't use him anyway and considering how bad I was when I started, I definitely had a successful season. Thanks. You're one of the posters I followed a lot of advice from.

Use all the cards that people can't hit with and see what you can find. Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Frank Thomas etc. I found out that I smash with the Big Hurt when most people don't. But don't try Barry Larkin, whatever you do, don't try Barry Larkin (hint hint)
Hahahaha, Larkin is my NL Central shortsop and leadoff hitter and as the saying goes....Larkin Rips.....I mean is terrible, thanks for the hint.
I like this idea. Frank Thomas is a perfect example of somebody I used for a while and then somebody else took his spot. I'm always using either Miggy or Fielder as my AL Central 1B. But Thomas and some of these other names are definitely worth considering.
Try Eddie Murray at 1st too. You won’t be disappointed. Luckily for me, I got Pujols just as Murray hit P5, so I stuck Albert there to work on him. Murray is a diamond fielder (although, I don’t remember if he was when I first began working on him) and a switch hitter.

I have not used many of the cards released since TA5 started because I built my teams for that program and have used those pretty exclusively. Sooooo, who should I add? Either or. I prefer the awards simply because of defense and speed.

I've thought about trying to see what kind of teams I could make if I allowed myself only 1 player per diamond rating from 85-99 in the line up and bench, along with the same 85-99 for SP+bullpen. So 1x 99, 1x 98, 1x 97, etc. for each. I think it would be interesting to see how different the squads would end up.

That's a cool idea. I like it. So you're still using all diamond cards but not just 99s. I enjoy drafting in BR because of the strategy involved and this has that kind of feel but with all good cards. Nobody can have Trout, Griffey, Mantle etc.
Plus you could do lineup 92-99 and Bench 87-91.

I just got this card. I love it got him in the middle with Trea Turner’s finest. I just started BR. Didn’t realize how easy it is to complete. good cards.
