Sometimes the outcome randomness of this game surprises me.

First off, this isn't a complaint post. But how can you play two Conquest games, against different difficulties, against the same team and lose the game on the easier difficulty?
Just played two games vs the Mets. One on AS and the other on Veteran. Won the AS game 7-0. Lost the Veteran game 3-2.
Confusing.

Because the game forces a loss sometimes.
I've literally lost one game offline this entire year. It was a conquest game on Vet against the Blue Jays. Literally every single ball I hit was right at someone or caught at the warning track. CPU won 1-0 on a Vlad HR that barely squeeked over the LF fence on a non-pci hit on a sinker way inside.
I've play multiple HOF and Legend games and won them all. The only loss is on Vet. Go figure.

I hit into a bunt DP last night, because slow [censored] Piazza was on first. I had him running on the pitch. Pitcher pops it up. 1B man catches it, steps on first.....
Don't know how I didn't throw something.

How's this for randomness:
Because I'm a glutton for punishment; I decided to make a secondary account and see how far I can get in collections, stubs, and XP just by playing what's available.
I'm not buying anything until I absolutely need to buy a card.
Anyway, to get through TA1 fast, so I can get those cards, I decided to do the Moments and some Showdown runs until I get close enough that doing the Conquest will complete it.
Anyway, first attempt at the TA1 Showdown I fail the first two easy missions (I swung at [censored]). So instead of playing the first mini boss and possibly having to start over; I decided to jump straight to the Final Boss (Jose Berries) down 12-0.
Well, I scored 6 runs, all from Homeruns, BEFORE I recorded my first out.
Then I proceeded to fly out/strike out 3 times. Then I just ended up either hitting bloop singles/doubles or taking pitches and having the CPU walk a handful of batters.
I won with 5 outs to spare and I won on a walk off grand slam only needing one run.
So, I couldn't get 2 hits in one game and 2 XBHs in another one; but yet I scored 13 runs in the final mission.
Weird.

In a showdown, I just had a perfect timing hit go just foul.

I think the conquest games on lower difficulty can sometimes be tricky because the pci is so big, and you can make a lot of contact outs. IMO you can really see the crazy programming at work in games like that, especially if you have a good squad vs the cpu…
