Hitting tip

So since there are so many pitchers with outlier fastballs, I’m always geared to hit it which in turn makes me very anxious/quick to press the swing button which results me swinging at bad pitches.
Any tips to stay patient since you don’t have much reaction time?

Work on noticing the amount of rise in the ball coming out of the pitcher's hand. That can help identifying either a fastball or a breaking ball. Practice mode is good for this as you can pick your pitchers, pick your pitches, pick your zones, and you can pick your difficulty.

It's hard man, everything is a split second decision. If you struggle with it, try sitting inside with the PCI for the 102, that would leave you enough time to react to offspeed pitches away. If it's offspeed inside where you're sitting, you need to recognize the pitch like @dap1234567890 said.

Does every pitcher have a different throwing animation for their fastballs/change ups?

Looking fastball first and often is good. Normally when you show your opponent with the outlier (usually fastball) that you can time, or be early on that pitch, regardless of pci, they're going to use more off speed. A big part of hitting is reading your opponents tendencies and guessing location pitch and speed. You can be very successful at this game if you can predict and hit fastballs up, and take offspeed pitches low, especially by working the count. So you miss a few off speed pitches, we all do, your approach is good. But as far as a hitting tip, focus release location.

A lot of great tips on here. If you want to not complicate it too much, just look for something to drive right back up the middle. You’ll end up swinging at pitches that are easier to square up on. All strikes aren’t good pitches to hit and your hit will only be as good as the pitch you get.

It's always better to be early than late.
Early is good.
When I use zone, I always sit middle in and low.
Pick one side of the plate and adjust according to the pitchers tendencies. -
I play offline, but I have problems laying off the outside Slider as a righty, the inside Slider to a lefty, the Changeup right down the middle, and the low inside fastball as a righty batter. I'm learning how to watch for the bump in Sliders and Curves.
It's frustrating to get fooled by the Sliders but I'm practicing to lay off them. -
