How to get a refund?

If you are getting that mad at a video game that you are just pissed all the time, there is probably some deeper issues at play than the game itself. If it makes you that mad, stop playing and move on. I doubt you will get a refund but you can email SDS directly and ask I suppose but I seriously doubt that would work
well said mate the voice of reason in here should be applauded always

I sent feedback asking for a refund earlier today for digital deluxe. Was not going to buy this year but beta and livestreams sucked me in. Early release gameplay was great, the patches have made this game unplayable for me. I remember back in the day playing MVP 05 thinking how great that series would be in 10-15 years. Here we are, graphics are phenomenal, but gameplay sure has gone backwards.

Why are there so many complaining little brats these days...this instant gratification culture has to stop...these cringy kids have to practice more...Ive had no problems with outfielders making mistakes or bla bla bla...the only issue I had was pitch speeds were slow at launch now that its been increased I'm good.
amen pal amen
these guys with their "Twitch or Youtube" Team names lollllllll absolutely out of touch with reality just super nerds glued to a screen with cat reflexes

I agree with OP. I've been a huge fan of the franchise but this year's gameplay so far is absolute garbage especially online play! Not looking for a refund but am extremely disappointed. Expected it to improve over last year which I loved but it's quite the opposite experience so far

Holy... you guys that are against the OP are ridiculous and toxic.
This game is legit broken right now in a multitude of ways, fair criticism from fans should be welcomed.
I'll still give it a break since there's a freaking pandemic right now and I just love baseball... But c'mon the gameplay is in a really bad place right now from an objective perspective.

The gameplay is awesome dude, the problem is you're not very good and you can't admit you're making mistakes that can be solved with a little practice but of course you blame the game.

BROKEN
having been fractured or damaged and no longer in one piece or in working order. The game is far from being a great game but it's not broken.

Can we actually address what is wrong with the game without using "buzzwords" like broken?
Also without the exaggeration like "Contact hitters don't matter" "The better player does not win"
When people embellish things it makes it easy to write them off as just mad and ignore any valid point they have.Like with this post I only need to point to one situation where contact hitting mattered and OP is disproven.
Replace it with "Contact hitters don't matter enough", or the "better player doesn't win as often as they should"Be realistic with your criticism, not embellishing every little detail. If you feel the need to exaggerate to make your point matter, you never had a point in the first place.

I swear these lazy casual noobs are gonna spoil this game cause they can't practice and get better so they just complain and embellish things too much. If they keep complaining the developers are gonna see this and possibly influence this game into an Arcade noobfest.

You can’t get a refund, even though this game is borderline unfit for purpose as is.

This game is the absolute worst piece of garbage ever since patch is 1.04. Between the outfielders not locking in on easy fly balls and the ground rule double bug where the outfielder won’t react (MLB 19 glitch) along with foul balls being ruled doubles (clip on my Twitter) along with the insane amount of good/okay when the ball is in the middle of the PCI. From being a very skilled based game on hitting (where the more consistent hitter wins) along with fielding (no one gave it a chance and cried so now we have suction animations taking away hits). Fielding was beautiful at launch you just had to take a lot of time to get used to it and practice. Hence I mean Baez is on the cover. I could deal with the button accuracy glitch if it meant we went back to day 1.
The better player does not win. If SDS wanted to make this a true skill game why wasn’t “perfect pitching” introduced at launch? This is just a randomized RNG fest.
Contact hitters don’t matter. It’s all about power. Fluke homers. MLB 18 all over again in regards to hitting engine.
The tell tale sign I have to quit playing is when my girlfriend just said to me what happened? You were the happiest you’ve been in a long time when this game came out but now all you do is get pissed. So for my mental health I gotta take a break. And pray for SDS to do something.
The only thing i find horrible right nOw is fielding, a lot of errors because of outfielders now locking on to the ball which is super annoying and the outfield gameplay feels a little clunky. I don’t really agree with the “the best player doesn’t always win” because if that was the case you wouldn’t constantly see the top #10 people in World Series always being the same people. I do feel like this game has something i know NHL had which in that game was called “ice tilt” (feels like if you were on a streak or your guy was way better than the opponents you goalie would literally just go full tard and let just about any shot in the net) but majority if you are better you win way more than you lose.

The thing I see with Out fielders is the take there time throwing the ball with runners on base. I have had to change the way I pitch no longer getting a higher percentage of strikes called on the black. I just laugh off the fielding errors. The fielding errors seem to be less since the last patch. The game is differently not broken but does have a few more things they can fix. I have not had any problems with my out fielders locking in on fly balls. The glitch that needs to be fix is sometimes when the ball is bunted to the third base side or is a swinging bunt to 3rd base side the first baseman is not on the bag he is half way down the line and it is still an out. Do you guys get that glitch.

Broken: PCI placement/user input means next to nothing after the patches. It is heavily RNG focused. I'm no casual, I don't claim to be great or anything... just a longtime fan who still enjoys the content and has valid criticism.
But it's absurdity on what hits even count as "perfect-perfect", "good-okay", and "good-squared up". From which types of these hits that get down, or as an out, it's totally arbitrary and contextual RNG. Compare some of your "good-okay" and "perfects"; many of them will show the ball barely out of dead center in the PCI for both. Or, an even more squared up hit for a "good-okay" than a "perfect" at times. Regardless, the "perfect" hits that do get down, or out, are just random anyway.
Either the hitting system itself is actually broken, or the post-hit analysis of it is.
Pitching is an even worse mess. I remember previous years being much more accurate with user input. This year so far, you can sometimes see the ball abruptly change to the opposite direction from their breaks after the pitch. Let alone those hangers during high confidence/energy with good releases.
