Why is this game in love with Sinkers??

Has anyone noticed this year that tons of pitchers that threw 2-Seam FBs last year now throw sinkers. Even LIVE series pitchers this year that have a 2-Seam FB instead get a Sinker with a Finest, etc card? Why is this game so in love with Sinkers?
If this many pitchers in real life threw sinkers this year, the MLB Network would be all over talking about the "Resurgence of the Sinker."

Sinker is good in this game, 2seam is not. Also 2 seam and sinker are more or less the same thing in real life so its not really that big of a deal

Sinker spelled the end for me. Made WS 5 times in ‘17. Highest I’ve made it since is like 850 on several occasions. I have never been able to adjust.

Wait till 99 Tim Wakefield comes out with a 100 MPH sinker paired with his knuckler.
