Bad choice for Red Sox

Was hoping for Renfroe. Nothing against JD but no chance his defense makes him even remotely playable. Based on the season Bogarts or Devers could have been the choice but Bogarts AS card is more than good enough and Devers has what seems like multiple endgame cards already. Renfroes defense would have been strong and being a Finest they would have juiced his stats. His swing normally makes him a great BR card so a juiced version would have been fun. Its weird that a team that was a few games from the World Series will have a Finest card that is almost unplayable.

I mean you could also say that the Renfroe card wouldn’t be “usable” at this point in the year with the other options available in the OF. I know he has good defensive attributes, but isn’t his speed in the 50’s? Either one would likely be a bench bat and for that I believe Martinez has a better swing.

best part about this time of year, is that you shouldnt care about rating and record, its great for theme teams and having fun, the new game comes out in about 4-5 months start having fun.

I'm actually glad that JD got it for no other reason than my Red Sox squad. I was worried Boegarts would be the sox finest but his all star card is so good it would be kind of a waste.
I've had that 2nd half JD on the bench and he rakes so now I can possibly put this one in left, Schwarber behind the dish and relegate Vasquez to the bench. As long as they give him at least bronze fielding.
