Something Went Wrong

Why is it that every other time I start up this game, it gives me the “something went wrong” message? Why can’t it just START THE GAME? There shouldn’t be anything going wrong with reading a disc. It happens more often with MLBTS 21 than any of the other games that I have on disc.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

Series X and Xbox are a mess right now, game crashes and consoles randomly shutting off while running specific games, just glad this game doesn’t give me issues.

To be clear, my Xbox isn’t crashing or anything like that. It won’t even get to the splash screen when it shows me the message. No idea why.

Just finished reading your post… turned on my PS5 and started MLB The Show 21… and no problems at all. Sucks to still think Xbox is a good system. Some never learn.

It shouldn’t happen at all.., but yes most of us know why it is happening yet others keep denying the fact that it is your Xbox. Plain and simple. It is a piece of [censored] system, especially compared to PS5. Always has been and always will be.

I didn’t want this to turn into a console war. If it was an issue by my Xbox, it would be happening with every game, not just MLB.
