Whether it be the new controller add ons that allow for rapid fire and different button press modes in shooting games, console differences, remapped buttons or third party controllers some guys in World Series are able to check swing EVERY time. Using a normal controller where the slightest bit of a tap can warrant a checked swinging strike and seeing what some guys are able to get away with there is clearly a difference.
IMO at this point they should just put the check swings back to how they always had been in order to level the playing field. Being able to check swing on every cutter or slider in/change up in the dirt is a pretty huge advantage for those that have found the work around.
Before anyone says it is skill…you don’t know what you are talking about. There is some other manipulation at play to allow for what I have encountered on occasion.

Ah yes, baseball too right? Check swings needed to be fixed, but once again SDS put their incompetence on display and went too far the other way. All they had to do was get actual check swing success rates from MLB and incorporate those into the game. Can’t call a game either realistic or competitive where you can foul off any pitch out of the zone with terrible timing/pci multiple times a plate appearance, but get check swing success at like a 20% clip.

You realize if they change it back to how it was then everyone would be able to check swing every pitch, not just the world series guys right?

Considering how broken the system is. Guys getting called for a swing when the bat doesn't leave their shoulder and getting a called check swing on just short of a full swing. Add me to the eliminate them altogether group

Check swings are a part of baseball, no way they should be removed, if anything make it based on real life statistics

I’ve made World Series every season and made it in like 12 games this season with a disconnect so I feel like I have a decent pulse on the state of the gameplay. But yeah everyone should be able to do it if a handful of guys can.

Some guys have literally figured out a way to check swing every pitch….so just put it back the way it was in my opinion.
