First pitch hitter is good but the best ones are dead red and breaking ball hitter. Boosts contact against those pitches so players tend to play above their attributes. Big reason why the trea turner is so good

Another thing on outlier and there is no way to prove this...but 101 non-outlier to a 102 outlier on a fastball seems like a huge jump, compared to a regular 100 to 101. There really is no point in outlier...it should just be that pitchers top out at their correct top speed....be that 102, 103, etc.. It should not be this mystical quirk that really feels like a 10mph difference. And they shouldn't be able to just sit at that top speed like mentioned above.

as mentioned First pitch hitter, dead red, and breaking ball hitter are all super beneficial for hitters. also two-strike hitter. live series Bryce Harper has first pitch, dead red, and two-strike. so i am always trying to hunt a fastball but usually don't swing if there's one strike

Awesome, thank you guys! I will start looking at those quirks if I am on a fence over two players. Maybe the quirks will push me one way or the other. I need to look at Castellanos. He has been my best hitter all year and by far the most HR's and second best average for me. Yet his card is "lower" in rating than most.

How important are quirks in this game. I will be honest, I usually field the team that I have the best time hitting with and have good defense. There are probably some I have never tried but if quirks really are beneficial, maybe I should be looking for certain players? What quirks are most haves?
This is for batters only. I know pitchers benefit especially from the assinine outlier quirks that allows every pitcher in this game to throw 102mph with sinkers of 100mph.
curious how outlier is assinine (how you spelled it).
Brusdar hit 103 with his sinker. If anything, Outlier doesn't do justice to his card.
Did he hit 103 with every Sinker he threw over the course of 9 innings?
@lucas8181_PSN this is the problem. With the stamina glitch, any pitcher could throw 140 outlier FBs at 102 MPH and still be in the green stamina wise. That system is broken.
The should have a system that if you put 100% effort, your stamina drops drastically faster.
Example: use the same pitcher. One time you throw 50 outlier fastballs at 102 MPH and the second time around throw 50 fastballs at 98 MPH. The first time around your pitcher should be more tired than option 2

I remember playing old NES Baseball games as a kid, maybe RBI Baseball did it. But in order to preserve your stamina, you threw more change ups. Curves and fastballs drained that stamina like crazy!

I remember that too man. That’s how I brought this up lol

Tiger Woods golf on I want to say ps2 was something similar....However, it wasnt stamina based, it was accuracy base. You could hit for HUGE yardage but your accuracy would suffer big time. The slightest mistake would send the ball into the rough.

Yeah I played that and you’re right. You could keep the stick downward longer but it would be a roll of the dice accuracy wise. I don’t like the roll of the dice thing but yeah the PAR could be bigger or something along those lines

I completely agree there. And I don't believe they've fixed the pinpoint stamina glitch (I don't use pinpoint).
