Most of those missions in 18 were not that bad. There were some that were terrible. But I find all moments mind numbingly boring. Its just not a fun mode. To each their own.

Most of those missions in 18 were not that bad. There were some that were terrible. But I find all moments mind numbingly boring. Its just not a fun mode. To each their own.
Missions in 18 were fine if you weren’t actively trying to complete them, or had a bunch to complete at once. If you only needed to finish the Daniel nava mission and nothing else, then you were in for an incredibly bad time. Moments just take those missions and streamline them so you don’t have to go through all the extra menus, loading, pitching, hitting with the rest of the order, etc. They’re a net positive over the alternative which are single-game missions.

Reduce the amount of Topps Now? I don’t really care about bobby bradley hitting a walk off hr in a meaningless game in July, half of the topps now we’re unwarranted. The main reason behind me not getting Kershaw this year is simple, I refuse to do anymore Topps now moment’s. I would rather shave my balls with a rusty razor than do another Topps now moment’s grind.
I may be in the minority but I hate moment’s, or at least the amount of them.

Sounds like you’re overreacting quite a bit here. TN moments aren’t difficult at all, and don’t take long either. I’d be fine if they only made us do moments with the actual cards we’re getting instead of throwing in other random moments from the week too though.

Sounds like you’re overreacting quite a bit here. TN moments aren’t difficult at all, and don’t take long either. I’d be fine if they only made us do moments with the actual cards we’re getting instead of throwing in other random moments from the week too though.
I mean the length of the moment can vary, some don’t take long, others do. I would much rather have moments linked to player programs and have the daily moments, when it comes to Topps Now I feel there were far too many. If only 3 big moments happen a week so be it, just have those three, I dont see the need to include extra moments because someone went 2-4 or tied their cleats correctly.

I have Betts and Kershaw without the Topps Now collection. I chose that as the one not to do and still get them. I sold most of my TN throughout the season for stubs. Worked out perfectly. I skipped a few of the POTM because they didn't interest me. I did do Buxton, Schwarber and O'Neill. Anyways, that's what I did and it worked out great.

I mean to be fair, you could just spend the 30k stubs or so per week on average to buy all of the cards. Pretty easy to flip for that etc. I'm not a huge fan of moments although I love showdowns.

Of course they are supposed to be fun. It's a game, everything is meant to be fun. No game developer is going...hmm....how can I make this game "un"-fun. Now the issue is what some find fun, others do not. I personally think these a boring as hell but I can see others get into replaying real life moments from their favorite players.

18 is also the year that I put the least amount of time into the game, and not by a small margin. I saw the writing on the wall and quit after only 50 hours.

I agree completely. As probably a 70/30 online/conquest player, this is what happened in 18 for me. I couldn't even play conquest because the missions pretty much had to be done in vs CPU, couldn't use the players I wanted to when I did play offline, and after doing the massive grinds I couldn't even bring myself to play online, which is what I would have preferred, even though the gameplay in 18 was the worst its ever been. What was it 18 CGSO's with babe ruth? The only missions I enjoyed doing in 18 were the save/hold grinds for Wagner and Goose, but thats only because I held off on conquest extreme until then
