If you think that's bad, think about 2k last year. They made next gen how the people wanted it, and they still complained.

That’s because it wasn’t the way we wanted it. You guys are lucky sds even listening to what you guys thing. 2K sports would only ever do that for VC glitches and stuff that impacted their revenue. MLBTS has so much free stuff, it’s amazing. The equivalent to team affinity for 2K are called spotlight sims. And instead of being a fun mission based program. They’re full on grinds requiring you to use theme teams from each team. Which is difficult especially at the beginning of the year when there isn’t many players for that team that are good since you have to play on HOF. Next gen especially last year was just so lazy. By the end of the year they were just releasing random cards to make people think they still cared about 21. The game was littered with spelling mistakes in the menus which doesn’t matter much overall but shows how little they cared. The gameplay wasn’t perfect either. 3 hunting was way too easy and nobody could really play defense. They’re was some time when the game was fun. But I’d say 70% of 2k21 wasn’t perfect, in fact it was the opposite. Sadly at that time I didn’t have many other games so I was forced to play it. But yeah lol it ain’t perfect the complaints were for a reason.

Lack of reward for grinding besides doing stuff that was much too hard for most of the community (such as 75 wins in their version of ranked. A weekend only events game mode where everything was rng etc) and a lack of care for the game. Sds is much better at listening to people than 2K. 2K will usually have major flaws that impact the gameplay that 2K don’t fix for the entire year. The closest thing they have to listening to the fans is votes for cards. Seems like they can’t hear us over the amount of kids that are forced to buy VC because of the market being weird and then losing all their mt on one card. Oh yeah, and unlike mlb you can’t buy cards with VC, only packs. It’s like a crappy freemuim mobile game with two currencies. Except it’s 60$, every year.

Omg the constant having to buy cards every day and week for challenges only to sell them back for a loss. I feel so much more rewarded for my grind with the show.

I play on Xbox, so thats one reason(finally get to play TS) and idrk, i loved 2k 17 and 19 but lost my fun with 2k when 21 came out

Maybe not ever, the games quality depends on when you play it, 19 and 20 were actually good. And even 21 had its good spots in seasons 3,5,6,7. But maybe you won’t even dip your feet in 2K in general since in my opinion my career and park are WAY too toxic. It’s all down bad 14 y/os who yell slurs on mic and almost never get banned. Ironically, my dad got banned cause he bought a card off of me so I could get some MT. That’s only because there’s my buying services that effect 2ks revenue. But 2K doesn’t care about rose kids since they buy VC so they can get a Nike hoodie for their virtual basketball player every week. (Off Topic: My dad was actually invited to MLB 19s closed beta. And I’m pretty sure he was one of the top players in 18. Just something I remembered.

I can see a 10th Inning Program that doesn't expire and has each of the previous boss packs in it. SDS has done that the last two years anyway.

At the pace you’re able to play it sounds like 21 has all you need to slowly grind TA and monthly awards. With all the stubs and packs you get through them you should be able to buy any other player you desire that you don’t already have from TA and MA. You can also still do all the player programs from innings as a bonus to grab a few more guys. Oh, and all the TN moments for more cards and stubs.

I don't agree that it is one of the most time consuming but it has benefits for those that are short one time.
- 3 inning games.
- The ability to pause with no timer if the real world interrupts.
That said 4 conquest games in a week is doubtful to be a pace that will be very rewarding as far as bosses are concerned. I would probably concentrate on POTM/Topps Now/Team Affinity to get some good cards since they have no time limit. Then use the stubs earned in those modes to buy the bosses that I really wanted.

Honestly, I semi-agree with OP that it's really difficult to get to the XP rewards. Main issue is that this is a TIMED-YEARLY RELEASE GACHA game mode(Diamond Dynasty).
So for those of us that love baseball/the show, but don't/cant put ALL our free time into grinding, we start to feel cheated. I'm still going to buy the next Show 22, but I might make Diamond Dynasty a B or C priority for myself. And play more of RTTS and March to October. Maybe I won't feel as left out as I did this year with DD since I didn't have enough time to grind. I want to play other video games too guys! haha
