YouTube is abundant with countless guides. I don’t think one creator has more info/insight/tips than another, so find a person you like and watch it.

There are a lot of YouTube videos out there and at the start of the year I watched some of them because I just hated conquest. I had never played risk or anything like it and just couldn't get a feel for it. There was something super simple that I started doing that has made conquest light years easier. None of the videos I had watched said it, but I am sure it is on every other conquest video that I haven't watched.

Conquest is so much easier when you take over as much unoccupied space as you can at the start. The more space you hold, the more reinforcements you get. For instance this 7th inning Kraken map has tons of unoccupied space you can grab right from the start and then you are getting like 40 reinforcements each time. The videos I would watch showed the guys surrounding their stronghold and then going straight for the next closest team. While that does work, it seems that taking over the entire map comes much quicker if you can just grab as much unoccupied space before you start attacking.

It is always important to check the goals before starting...I always like to know how much I have to steal and all before I start a map...of if I have to take over a specific stronghold by a certain turn. I absolutely hate to steal and will skip it unless I just have to for a reward or XP bonus.

Very well put! This also helped me to improve at Conquest and enjoy it more. And I don't mind stealing just because it means more games,, however I totally agree, it's pointless unless it's required. Claiming as much unoccupied space gives you greater reinforcements and allows you to easily fortify and defend your position while you conquer more territory. Wow, that sounded nerdy hahaha.
