Does anyone else use pinpoint pitch control? I have been playing MLB2K for like a decade because the show wasn't available on XBox until this year, lol. I love using it because I'm so used to it, but I don't know what most people use for pitching control. Are there advantages to others?

no i use meter ... i like how i can control how hard the pitch is thrown with meter

but i do hate how unforgiving a mistake is with meter compared to pinpoint.

pinpoint is supposed to be the hardest and most rewarding pitching style..

but it has way too many benefits and definitely not the hardest

Its the meta when it comes to pitching yes. Its broken in the sense that stamina does not deplete.

Pinpoint is by far the best way to go. I have a like a 2.8 era in this game due to pinpoint. Of course, with fewer people playing and connections being worse than ever, I have a 4.3 this season.

I use meter. Tried messing around with pinpoint for a bit when I first bought the game, but I couldn't get the hang of it and meter works fine for me so I figured I'd just stick with what I know lol.

@whitejw98_MLBTS That makes sense. Have you found much difference in the accuracy for perfect pitches between the two?

You can control how hard you throw the ball in pinpoint, but it's pretty difficult to do. When I change how hard it's thrown, it's usually by accident, LOL. It seems like one of those things that since I was already used to it before I began playing, I'm good to just stay with it. I haven't had the option to use meter pitching for anything since the old MVP baseball games of yesteryear :-).

Pin Point 100% here. My ERA this current season over 5 games is .069. Not too shabby.

I could never get meter's timing down. Pure Analog was just horrible last year so I didn't even attempt it this year.

I like meter due to being able to "miss" and still hit my spot due to different pitchers arm angles and pitch break/trajectory.

First year...100% pinpoint. Takes a game or two to get down and then it is smooth sailing. Much better control and stamina...at this point I really am surprised everyone isn't using pinpoint, because there are significant advantages to the other methods. But I also get using what a person likes. I use the cards I like...not what some streamer says I should use or what card has the best attributes. It is important to use what you like and is fun.

I've been using pulse for years. It's a relaxable pitch style.

I like it. Yeah its not super hard, but when that pulse hits, I know i did my job!

Its my first year playing, and so far i've completed a bunch, halfway done w/ mookie series. I'd rather feel more comfortable then trying crazy things

Wait. Is the default setting for pitching called "classic"?

And if so, it must suck hard because I've never heard a single person using it.

I started a couple months ago and never changed any pitching setting.

Im actually reasonably competitive online with this so I cant imagine how much better i could be if i changed to a better pitching method.

I used to be meter and directional. This is the first MLB game for me in a couple years and by the beginning of June I started sticking with Pin Point and zone.

I can’t imagine not using PP now.
