Ever since they came up with the 40 wins to get the WS reward pack nobody stays in games anymore. Its become just like Madden. If your opponent is loosing they just quit out. It was never like this in years past because quitting meant you weren't getting any closer to that WS reward.

Isn't playing to get the wins working for it? It not handed out you still have to win. I did the first season and i got 40 wins put it took up most of my time in the game I have not done since. I went 40 and 36 or something like that. that is 70 plus games to get to 40 wins.

I do wish they could fix tanking. Like maybe once you make a league you can't tank below it.

Well like with any sports game you get a lot of RNG involved. Tack that on with stupidly good hitters and you're in a bad seat. I don’t play BR because it's a sauna.

I have no problem with people quitting I’ll take a free win anytime. Can be a bummer when you’ve got a shot at a special game with your pitcher tho.
I try not to quit but definitely have a handful of times. The only way to get better is to play against good competition. Even if you’re getting your rear handed to you it’s worth trying just to have good at bats or work on your eye. Maybe try some different pitching sequences.

They had to do something. The million stub bids last year were out of control… Plus as a company they sell stubs, I imagine they got a lot of complaints saying “ why did I buy these stubs and have to wait months for Willie Mays”.

Really? I find it to be the only mode I enjoy, ranked to me is a nightmare. I play br and start around 5 wins.

I’ve been playing DD online off and on since 2015 and I agree something is up with some opponents I face. It seems like the pitching has been harder to face this year than in years past and every once in a while I face a guy where something doesn’t feel right. Perfect pci placement. Everything out of the zone they swing at is fouled off.
I watched a couple YouTube videos on the zen program for MLB and the hitting program looks like it blocks the pci from exiting the strike zone and also you can enable a program to speed the pci up.
That would honestly explain the foul balls on every pitch out of the zone and such good pci placement.
If they are able to jam their pci without worrying about over extending and the pci is sped up that explains a lot. Then on balls out of the zone their outer pci is ticking the ball causing foul offs and not weak contact.I honestly think zen use is more prevalent than a lot of people on this forum want to believe.

If you had the zen limiting the pci to maybe partially out of the strike zone that really minimizes the area the pci is moving and would allow for way more squared up balls.

Why would someone stay in a game if they realize they will not win, it is a waste of time when you can quit and play another game.
It sounds kinda lame, I know, but sportsmanship. If my opponent plays respectful and doesn't do the typical cheesy BS, I don't mind sticking around for the full game.
