TA4 Stub Influx, How'd You Do?
-
Right now after buy/sell orders clear I'm sitting on 900k+ and waiting for gold Snider or Molitor to go through and I'll have Kershaw. I had plenty of silvers & bronzes to do all the collections and exchanges for TA4 too. I have a ton left over that I'm going to sell off at some point, just going to take forever to put all the sell orders in.

One thing for sure is that everyone is too rich atm. The game is only 5 months old!

I'm curious, it's my first year playing so I'm trying to collect everything. And while I'm not overly enthusiastic about Kershaw, it's a game objective so I'll try to complete it.
My question: Why sell all these collection cards for stubs just to buy other collection cards? I obviously get selling duplicates and of course if you pull a Trout, Degrom etc and have already finished the LS series of course you sell. But why sell the collection cards you only have 1 of? I understand if you know the market well enough that you can repurchase them later for cheaper. But I was able to buy several cards I wanted for half the normal price. Are you assuming there will be some bigger collection you'll need a ton of stubs for?
Again, I'd love to hear the strategy in case I'm missing something good. Thanks.
Everyone has different a strategy. Collecting every card certainly isn't for everyone. I don't personally sell unless its a duplicate, but I also don't invest, which is a very good strategy for a lot of people. You just need to find your own strategy for making stubs that work for you. Me personally I've been flipping the same 5 cards for 3 months

2.5 mil and collected Kershaw. I was actually excited for Kershaw. I remember ‘19 too well to discount him.

I’m sitting at 750K after buying 30 Brett’s, 5 Kemp’s and 5 Pedro’s. Looking to bank big next inning

I don't understand either. I try to keep atleast 1 of every card even if I don't need it. Like right now I probably have a million stubs worth of cards that I didn't use for Kershaw, but it would be dumb to sell them incase I need them later. Plus stubs are easy to make

So thoughts on Kershaw? I could probably get him if I lock in all my stubs.

I got to my highest stub total which was about 380K. I don’t play the market, don’t buy stubs. That was a lot to me so I treated myself to Josh Donaldson’s MVP card.
I know some people love accumulating massive amounts of stubs and that’s cool, not my style though so I’ll never break a million.

Still got 2 divisions to go and sitting at about half a million.
I am slightly tempted to sell Verlander and buy back later
I literally juat bought him for 380k. I neded that card, baaaad.
-
Grossed 2.1 million off prospect cards bought at Quicksell and 50 PS Hicks.
-
That's crazy, I'm impressed with those of you who can flip cards and leverage the market to make a killing on stubs. At the beginning of the season I made the rookie error of buying as many packs as I could. I always hit buy now, all sorts of naive mistakes because I have no idea how to navigate the stubs aspect of the game. I'm definitely much better now, like night and day but I still don't have the required patience to pull off what you guys have. Kudos, next season I'll try to flip cards. This season, I just want to collect them all.

Started at 1.8 mil, now at 2.5 mil and picked up a bunch of expensive cards I wanted that were down in price.

Well if you bought him for 387,888. That’s my one

Started at 700k, now at 2.2M. But I bought about 100k to finish up all the equipment, MS Verlander (313K), ASG Peralta (129K), Schmidt (71K), HRD Alonso (114K), Pearson (87K), Lindor (176K), Kemp (121K), and Brett (122K). I did get lucky and pull Trout right before the content drop so that got me up to 700K prior to the drop. I still have something like 1000-1500 77-79 silvers I could sell. I did well and I am glad to hear that so many other did too.

I'm up to 1.5 mil.
I'm NMS and started 2 months ago.
If this was 2K I would be completely broke with a shitty team at this point. My only issue is there's nothing I want to spend my stubs on! Really wish the big collection was better than Kershaw.
Same here, NMS. I still have a lot of cards I don't have, but I don't really care. I don't need them all.
Like everyone also says, maybe the next collection will be worth it? Lol. Kershaw card is trash.
-
I got up to 350k and finally got Jansen, I am back up to around 70k and counting.

Exactly I been flipping the same cards for about two months. If anyone still needs to finish LS it is easy need only 1,000 stubs to start, Buy 5 to 10 of the players of the team you want to complete Collect one sell back the rest, I finished it for my Son in less than two weeks I did the AL in 1 day. Do one division at a time.
-
I am trying to get all the cards, I am hoping with TA drop it will help me get there. before TA I needed about 14 cards that I need to buy off the Market and I picked up Lindor and Jansen in the last week. Down to about 12.

It is now time to update the spreadsheet with all the new content
