Who’s the better catcher? Yasmani has great hitting numbers but JT defense is better with his arm power.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't use catchers with under 10 speed unless it's an event or BR and I don't have much of a choice. Grandal does have great reaction which may help on those swinging bunts in front of the plate, but he'd still be clogging up the bases too much for my liking. I actually switched from Piazza back to Realmuto in ranked because Piazza was too slow on defense with those dribblers. I'm not sure how much of that is speed vs. reaction though.

If anything, Grandal is a good bench player. Sub in catcher if needed. A switch hitting pinch hit bat later in the game, but then you almost have to pinch run for him so it takes two bench guys. I would 100% not start him solely based on that 1 speed.

All star JT is the best catcher in the game IMO.
