as of today im taking brett over kemp, we'll see who the 3rd boss is.

There is like 5 I think. Mantle, Banks, Larkin, Brett, and Ripken. It was the attribute preview that gave it away. Power vs L was the lowest hitting attribute. The other 4 are lefty killers

It’s not that Kemp and Brett are bad cards, it’s just that I wish they’d give us cards like 99 Aaron and Mays early enough in the year so we can enjoy them for a few months. It seems like we will continue to see better cards released earlier as Ranked and BR rewards to keep folks playing online more. I just don’t care about online. I have 400 internet and MLB/2K online are still too laggy for me to have consistent fun. I have no problems with shooters or other online games. It’s just the sports games. I enjoy having fun with my favorite players offline way more because of that. I thought for sure we’d get one of the big dogs as a sixth inning boss. Looks like we’re getting Kemp, Brett, and maybe Pedro. Excited about Pedro but he’s a pitcher. I frankly see Brett and Kemp as Second or Third Inning Boss material.

I agree the TA 3 threw everything off. I think it was a dumb idea. Its basically midseason finest cards. That being said I feel like the mindset is comparing this years inning programs to previous years inning programs. 5th inning last year I think spoiled people into thinking they were all going to be that good. I personally feel that the intent of inning programs this year weren't to be the main draw of the game, even if they are like that by design. Inning programs are an extreme amount easier than years past, and I think thats part of the reason the bosses are "worse". I wouldn't be surprised with how Juiced TA3 was if we see a lot of these cards people are waiting on in TA4

I get that feeling as well, the last two TA’s have been loaded with decent and in the case of TA 3 possible end game cards, so as you said wouldn’t be surprised if TA 4 is packed with goodies.

Of course, if they did that then everyone would still complain that every subsequent inning reward was lame. They already release so many good cards early that most people won't use most bosses.
No matter how they roll out cards and bosses there will always be a group of players who will complain about it.

I think how good a card is, is subjective. I’ve seen many people dump all over 99 Piazza but his card stats say he should be everyone’s catcher like others have said, some people are just good with other cards and one persons “god squad” may be different than someone else’s. Could be as simple as a preferred swing or stance. I look at 99 Wander Franco in my case, hitting around .270 with him but say a guy like Groshans I am hitting over .320. Can’t explain it.
I’ll try out the cards for sure than make my judgement call.

Honestly Im less concerned about who makes my lineup at this point and just try to enjoy different cards and test them to see who i like. Have the collections done and usually make it a point to get all the bosses anyway so ill have fun giving him a try. Always liked Brett anyway. Kemp is meh to me but ill try him as well
