Dashboarding needs fixed if we're going to have programs that track TB and XBH

How many BR programs are ruined by dashboarders? I let your HR land. Let mine land.
Let's fix this. Been going on way too long.

When you dashboard, you get a disconnect collectable.
When you get 30-50 of these collectables, you should be given a time out for a week.
I don't care if you quit vs the CPU. Enjoy the time out.

So you want to penalize for quitting vs CPU? Don’t you think it would be wiser for the programming to be written so the play finishes until a dead ball situation then allows the disconnect?

Back in 2008 if you were playing Madden online and somebody quit it would give you the option to finish against the CPU. All stats counted.
What year is it?

If being penalized for quitting vs the CPU makes people stop dashboarding, absolutely.

I got a Stanton homer dashboarded a couple nights back which surprised me because all it did was tie the game 3-3 in the 2nd inning. Then next opponent intentionally walked him both times I'm sure out of spite because at the time there was no other reason to do that and he also bunt danced and R2'd the entire time so it doesn't surprise me. Got another 2 or 3 games in that round before getting my second loss without getting the Stanton homer again. I haven't had Stanton come up again in a draft since. To make matters worse I had a walk-off Ruth homer robbed the very same night which would have been his 2nd XBH. Instead I got my 2nd loss and he also hasn't come up again since.

What about the Moments where you have Multiple games to get X amount if hits/XBH and it's the last AB if the last game and all you need is an XBH to finish it (let's say 10 H 5 XBH in 5 games) and it's a pop up?
Usually if you dashboard there you don't have to play the whole series over.
But now you would be penalized?
There are two easy solutions to dashboarding.
1: Let the play count (especially if it's a no doubter, as the games recognizes it as soon as its hit)
2: Get rid of online requirements for stat missions. Yes, that could affect the BR program as you need certain stats from those players. But the resolution to that is having at least one player show up in each Gold/Silver round

They are completely unrelated, quitting vs cpu when you’re doing missions that don’t reset mid game has NOTHING to do with dashboarding. There’s better ways to fix it, as was stated earlier, games years ago allowed you to finish vs cpu, why can’t the programming just be to finish out the play instead of ending immediately?

I had a guy last night pause after every pitch until his counter went down to zero. Then my pitcher got a hit, freeze off. He left, I won. This was the first inning.
I’ve just come to accept games like this.

People questioning why db'ing is a big deal... I just wasted 40+ minutes with a guy who was fine winning at 2-0 but when I started to make a come back I assume he dashboarded and left because on cross platform ps4 against Xbox just puts our game in limbo, only option is to quit.
You can't access any menu or do anything at all except bounce back to the dashboard and manually close the program.Since you only get 3 minutes in a menu before the timer runs out and makes you forfeit. Why not after say 4 minutes can't a server see that one or both parties are idle in an online game? I don't care so much about the stats, but what's the point of playing the game then? To get better players and get better playing.....I'm just tired of people wasting my time because THEY SUCK in life!

As a guy who does a lot of grinding against the CPU I can say this is an incredibly bad take. If it's possible to have a different collectible for CPU quits and it can be tracked separately, then sure penalize the dudes that dashboard. But making it where you get penalized for quitting a CPU game would be ridiculous.

Had a great game with a guy this morning until I hit a double (possible triple) with Griffey Sr. that would walk it off. Right as Griffey hits second he dashboards. That would have been hit #4 with him and I never would have expected to have four in a run with him. I really don't think the guy would have dashboarded if it was a non mission player.
I don't think offline should be punished...but something has to be done about online missions like BR. The only solution I can think of is more general missions like xbh, k's, etc. and not do the player missions.
I have always said there are some people that really don't care about winning, they just care about the other person losing. That is what this BR behavior is. They don't care if you win the game when they dashboard, they know you lose because you miss out on your points from the program.

Fair point.
SDS has the disconnect data. They're too lazy to do anything about it. Just look at the XP glitch fix they implemented.
They have NO CLUE how to fix stuff without breaking something else.
