Whoever programmed this stuff has caused me to literally hate one of the only games I truly loved to play...reminds me of showdowns in the past that were unbeatable to a regular player...good timing with perfect placement causes pop-ups, but missed balls with good timing result in homeruns...other modes play like they should but showdowns have always been screwed up...thanks whoever at SDS for making me hate this game...

Oh and how could I forget...late on 95% of all pitches regardless of who is on the mound and what and where they are throwing...and the amount of balls thrown when you have to get hits is ridiculous...I just turned it off after Moncado hit a 441 ft HR by missing with the PCI but hitting good...I thought the server issues were bad...this has caused me to not want to play anymore...fix this, it is one outlet I have to actually enjoy myself when I am not working...thanks again for ruining this game for me SDS...

SDS had a discussion with EA Sports about market share and how there were too many players playing MLB vs. Madden and NHL. Since Madden has a larger player base, they made SDS do something as polarizing as making online play and rigged Showdowns necessary to complete a program. It's frustrating, but hopefully you understand as a consumer in a capitalist society. There were just too many happy MLB gamers before this program and the genre needed an equalizer.

I had no problem with the showdown. Only failed one mission which of course was a +3 run mission but easily beat Felix within the first 5 outs. I don’t swing at down and in against the computer. I sit high fastballs and pitch’s that are in the strike zone bottom center. Make sure when you play the final boss or any of the bosses for that matter that you throw defensive positions out the window and just put your 8 best hitters in the field as obviously they won’t be playing defense.

I failed on my only attempt. That will be the only attempt I make, unless I get near the end of the inning program and I need those points for collecting Clemente.

I had four outs left, men on the corners. Pop up to the catcher. Next batter. I strike out.
Next batter hit into a double play. This showdown has frustrated me more than any other showdown this year. -
Finally beat it...had to switch to keeping my pci on the right hand side and then adjusting to the pitch, but whatever works I guess...thank God that's over...

I was down vs Nolan Ryan. I’m not the best in the game but I’m also not the worst and know what I’m doing. Beat every other showdown. Nolan Ryan is unhittable for me. I managed two hits in the 20 outs against him. Both resulted in double plays. I ain’t even trying that again. Almost snapped my new ps5 black controller

DP are killers, you have to get that guy to second at all costs. The steal glitch or make sure you are drafting a fast guy on the bench. Hell sacrifice an out and bunt him over if you have no other choice but you need that runner to get around.
