There it is. Every update someone says they changed something with hitting without telling us. Haven’t played since the update so can’t speak for sure but willing to bet when I fire it up it feels the exact same to me.
You're batting .315 over 13 games in the bottom of the ranks which means rookie/veteran difficulty online. I doubt you'd be able to tell the difference honestly but thanks for you input nonetheless, without actually even playing like you said so yourself.
Fair enough but my point still stands. Gets old seeing the same tired complaints all the time.
Edit to add I prefer to play offline to avoid the [censored] that y’all complain about all the time lol but in my limited online experience I haven’t had many issues.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but why don't you play h2h online? What is the fun in beating the cpu? Especially against live series teams?
Maybe it's the old competitor in me, but any accomplishment against the cpu is pretty dull for me. It's boring and predictable.
I want to compete against other players, despite the nightmare that is online h2h.For me, I rarely have time to play a game uninterrupted long enough to play a h2h game. I also enjoy a slower paced game and not one pitch flying in one after another and people using every exploit possible to win a game.

I want to compete against other players, despite the nightmare that is online h2h.I’ve always despised multiplayer in any and every game. I’m MUCH happier just playing the computer, especially in The Show when I can get [censored] near all of the same rewards only playing offline. People = [censored]. Always have, always will.

Fair question and I actually really do enjoy playing online when the game is running well. I’m also a competitive dude and like when I get to play a real person. I guess my answer would be I don’t have a ton of time to play, so offline gives me the feeling I am being more efficient with my time. Married, 50+ hour a week job, and a baby on the way so I play weekends and maybe a weeknight or two. Would rather grind some conquest games than play maybe one or two online games that may or may not act right I guess.
-
So I play a lot, more than I'd care to admit and it feels roughly the same for me although I feel I've been hitting a bit worse but it feels like I'm simply not seeing the ball well and that could just be a me issue I guess.
I think part of the issue is the update actually made it harder for me to hit the pitches they 'nerfed'.
What in particular has changed from your perception?

I totally understand, and I'm glad you didn't misunderstand my question.
The Show was my hour or two of "Daddy Time" when my kids went to bed. Better than drinking a 6-pack of beer.
And stay offline! It is anything BUT relaxing.
I played all of '15 in Franchise and it was great.
Despite being above average (in my humble opinion), Diamond Dynasty is nerve wracking. But when you win, it's great.
Your days of video games are almost over (for a few years) anyway when the baby comes. Lol
Keep us posted, Dad. There's nothing like it!
Best of luck to you and your wife! -

I'm getting more weak fly balls and even pop ups behind the catcher when I slightly get under the ball. And with slightly I mean that the baseball is entirely inside the PCI in the feedback, but at the top part of it. That's how we've been conditioned to hit home runs with power hitters (hence the 3 sizes of dots in the PCI, you want to get the ball on the top one with power guys to hit fly balls and lift the ball out of the park).
Another example is when you SLIGHTLY hit the ball left or right of the center in the PCI, the exit velocity drops enormously regardless of swing timing. Which has never been the case and also shouldn't be the case. If you swing just early and hit the ball just a bit on the inside of the PCI, that ball should be pulled with a lot of power meaning high exit velocity.
And last but not least, it feels as if I'm swinging through pitches more than normal now. My muscle memory for PCI placement and swing timing is well developed over these years, yet sometimes when I get an absolute meatball that I see very well and I feel like I'm all over, it just gets a random hitting output like a weak line drive straight to the shortstop for an out with some low 90s exit velocity, despite having good timing (NOT later side of good) and good PCI placement.

That there were no hitting tweaks in this update. The game was already feeling off and it's only gotten worse.
Yeah you know what I thought for a while there it actually felt okay but the more I play it the hitting does feel really off like when you hit the ball in the air you think it's going to go in for some reason it just drops at the wall I don't understand it or what's going on but it really needs to be looked into I totally agree

I've definitely felt point 1 a bit. Point 2 I haven't noticed (not dismissing just haven't seen), and point 3 I admittedly don't play on legend very often other than to warm up vs degrom because I feel this is the difficulty you'd really notice this.
I'm guessing you're still seeing these changes even a couple of days later? BR was explosive this morning for me but BR skews my view.

Something seems off to me too. I've had so many balls in this event already that were squared up with good timing go absolutely nowhere. 2 of em with Chipper were lazy fly balls to center.
I keep grounding out and flying out on pitches in dead center. I think I’ve said “rigged” more times in the last hour than I have in my entire life.
Are we talking online or offline though?

Yeah I still notice these things. And then I hit no doubters on pitches that I'm not even on with the PCI and I also felt like I missed them. I know latency plays a factor as well, but it's just a mess honestly.

Can't say anything for hitting but I can tell you with a straight face they actually did nerf the high sinkers...
I’m still not holding my breath that it’s actually fixed, let’s see what everyone says in a week or two. Remember everyone was all f’ing ho about contact swinging being fixed, yet here we are still complaining it’s not fixed. If I’m fact this is fixed, I will be more than thrilled and excited and will absolutely give SDS the credit they deserve, but we’ve been through this way too many times.
No contact swing is not fixed I hit two perfect perfect out in the event with Jasson Dominguez using contact swing. I use it with two strikes or against a pitcher like Nolan Ryan.

I just played some event games to see what was going on and thought maybe I was tripping on Tuesday when I played last…I’m getting zero exit velo. Much different than other event games I’ve played prior to this one.
