Alfonso Soriano

Once you can turn on inside fastballs this card is awesome. People throw it there every time and it’s almost always a hit through the 6 hole for me. Just be ready to turn and burn when he comes up

What is it with his swing that I am not picking up? It doesn't seem slow to me compared to other players and it doesn't seem faster either. I'll occasionally see other players online who have great stats with him and wonder what is their trick. I've given him plenty of chances and he just can't snap out of it. lol
This being my first year playing it boggles my mind trying to figure some of these batters out. Some players have great attributes and I'm not good with them and some have bad attributes and I rake with them. Does it have something to do with quirks?
How many ABs do you give batters before you banish them?
It's really funny. People either rake with him or can't hit at all with him. For the love of all that's holy, I cannot hit with him. I don't know why. It's just weird.

I have no issues hitting with Soriano

Yeah. It's just really weird. I finally just stopped trying. I'll probably try again later but there are so many other options for OF and second base now.

Once you get use to Soriano’s swing he becomes one of the best cards in the game. Also with him in left and Buxton(or someone else fast) in center there won’t be many missed plays in the outfield.

I unlocked him later in the cycle and I can't help but wonder how much of this is facing pitchers with 125 H/9 & K/9 meeting 91 CON v RH or whatever it is. It's too bad because I was really looking forward to using him but other options just seem to hit far better.

Give him a chance honestly. I have over 50 home runs and batting 330 with him. You can expect people to try to jam him by throwing inside. So if you’re looking for that pitch he’s easily one of the best cards in the game. Also he hits low and outside pitches better than just about anyone.

The Phonse is one of my top 3 hitters. Love his card the most

My opinion is it is long...not slow. I started having more luck with him when I looked for pitches middle away with him and would even have success pulling pitches over the middle with him. The problem with this is most players realize this and like @dantheranman said...they will pitch him inside. He left my lineup simply because most people have great success pitching him inside and you can't just give away the inner half on every pitch.
Yep, this is my consensus too. Similar to Yordan Alvarez. I hated his swing, but once I got used to it, he smashes.

I appreciate the feedback guys. His defense in the OF is what has kept him in my lineup all this time, it's just so good. With Mookie and Clemente on the horizon I will give him a bit more time to see if I can utilize your tips to wake his bat up for me.

i've had issues with him but he's come up with some clutch hits and im starting to figure him out a bit.
