Thanks for essentially becoming a new EA sports. Instead of fixing and updating the mode that made you famous you’d rather cash grab in Diamond Dynasty. Hope another competitor steps it up on the future and hurts your sales as that’s the only way EA and your studio will learn their lesson.

Never gonna happen.and be thankful for that. last estimate i heard was 30 million or more to build from scratch.
cost of the license, consoles cut, mlb cut, no 3rd party would touch it,just no chance of profit.and if they tried...you think this game is a cash grab? what they would do in a game like that- you wouldnt just be willing to do anything, youd be willing to do EVERYTHING to get this back.it would be that bad. -

The 2K NFL has already been confirmed as not a Sim style game so its not a competitor to Madden it won't live in the same category so your example is not valid to your argument.

So that’s the only thing you picked out to refute the entire point of competition making games better?
The thing is, madden isnt even a simulation football game. It has the title, but punters at QB, not attempting one pass in “high level competitions” due to the run being so OP, running 1-2 plays on offense and defense is not simulation/realistic.
2k getting the non sim rights which could be NFL 2k5 with Blitz body types, playing with 10 men instead of 11, or something simple to keep the gameplay realistic. We don’t know what it’s going to look like. I guarantee people like me that quit madden but love football will play it.
All and all, competition makes games better. 2k4 and 2k5 made madden 04 and 05 great games. Madden started falling off as soon as they obtained the NFL rights. I just got into the show because I’m an Xbox person, but I’ve been hearing everyone say MVP baseball 05 is the best baseball game of all time. It’s gone, and now RTTS archetype progression this year has been broken since the game dropped. No word of fixing it. You think they would be able to do that if they had competition?

and Spotify.
and MLB.tv.
and MLB.Real Life.All entertainment outlets looking to soak up every last available entertainment dollar. They're all competing against each other for your attention and/or money. If SDS wasn't good at their jobs, people would play something else, watch something else, or (gasp!) go to a ball game.

Didn’t know I had to specify baseball simulation competitor. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the show more than any other sports game offline, but the online gameplay is bad along with RTTS. With a direct baseball simulation competitor, I think SDS would have more urgency fixing the gameplay and offline modes.

RBI is a "direct baseball simulation competitor".
If you think it's not up to snuff, then maybe making a brand new baseball game from scratch isn't as easy as you think it is.
