Daily Moment = Who TF Makes Decisions?

but then i think that goes back to the OT thing. i havent gone one day at work in the last 15 years without hearing the bosses complaining about hours, knowing that the only reason they care is because their bonuses will be lower.
Now I get your over-time point.
I honestly believe that the developers are capable and incredibly talented. I also believe that the amount of money they are making from DD is causing them to fixate on one game mode -- the other game modes all tie into DD...Kind of how all game modes tie into MUT or FUT or MyTeam.
The persistent goal over these past few years has been: How do we (SDS) make DD more accessible, immersive...basically addicting. The result is SDS focusing on additional content and DD tie-ins when what we are asking for are core-adjustments.
Their laziness is a product of the money they are producing. Why make core changes to the game, which takes effort, when you can sit back and let 13-18yos buy packs and stubs with mom/dads credit card. Look how jacked-up Sony's board is right now: https://gamerant.com/mlb-show-21-xbox-release-huge-sony-profits/
- Not having the pitcher hit when playing against an AL team
- Getting HBP/Walked in hit related moments
- Terrible hitting mechanics (that robbed us of OFM ...some fvcking how)
- Poor quality of life improvements/disregard for other game modes
Are each a result of laziness caused by money blindness.

Who decides to have pitchers batting in AL games (and in Moments where batting has no bearing on the goal)?
There is certainly no shortage of questions on "why" where it pertains to this series.
This one is very simple... pitchers hit in DD mode so they hit in DD moments regardless of the setting. Call it lazy or whatever you want, but that's why. Frankly it doesn't really bother me... minor inconvenience when I have to take 30 extra seconds to lay down a bunt and get out in a pitching moment.

Setting up a moment with the correct stat line going into it is easy. They are lazy.
The entire interface is available in the dev kit. They can set whatever parameters they want. They aren't though. To me, that's LAZY.

The issue is that the moment(s) take place in an actual baseball games and therefore should adhere to those parameters. I, and others are well aware that it is not the end of the world because an AL pitcher is hitting against an AL opponent. The notion speaks to an overarching issue when it comes to SDS and their development of the game.

I don't disagree that it's a bummer to have to deal with. I just think of it as a corner that was cut. I'm not educated enough on programming a game to know what sort of issues, if any, it would cause or how much work it takes to program those moments and those moments only to not include pitcher ABs.

Freaking hilarious. loaded up the moment and first pitch to Mookie was a 4 seamer right down the middle of the plate. Power swing and I deposited that ball into the 2nd level in LF. One pitch, done.
Other moments, it'll take me like 200 tries. SMH

I couldn't have said it better myself. Just lazy programming and that stuff starts to add up and drive me crazy.
If we can go to the moon, a video game programmer can make sure our pitcher doesn't bat in an AL moment... c'mon people!

It occurred to me yesterday when doing the save with Eckersley that these are made far ahead of time. The reason I think this is Jorge Soler was still on the Royals despite being traded around a week and a half ago.

I got the 4 seam down the middle on the first attempt and it hit the top of the wall for a double and I was thrown out trying to stretch it into a triple lol
