At this point stub sales are usually for the people picking up the game late on sale. The game being on sale and stub sales usually go hand in hand at this point of the year -

If you are just jumping in and the games on sale you drop a few extra $$$ to also gets stubs to get you off and running.
You took a break and want to get caught up
There is a number reasons someone would buy stubs can't assume everyone plays this game everyday and works the market.

Yep. I just finally bought Trout and completed the LS collections last night so I have like 30k stubs... Not going to buy any but if I were to want to then this stub sale would have come at the absolute perfect time for me.

Hey if you just picked up the game, go for it. I spent some money when the game first came out but they made stubs easy to get. I was gone for two weeks and picked up Otahni when Mookie dropped and was down to 12k. Right now sitting on 250k. That is with no market flipping, just playing offline and selling the free stuff from packs. This year stubs are so easy to come by is all I'm saying.
